Do you think U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney should resign as a result of the allegations that he had affairs with a high-ranking Martin County official and a former staff member whom he paid to keep quiet?

I think what Tim Mahoney did to his wife and daughter was despicable, but as it stands now that is between his family and him. He will have to meet his Maker someday and he will be judged accordingly. THAT HAVING BEEN SAID- until it is proven that IF he did misappropriate funds he shouldn't have I will continue to give him my vote. I think it's very suspicious that this news broke three weeks before election day... I have to keep in my mind the good he has done for seniors and veterans and the disabled, of which I am a member. We have to separate the personal from the Congressional..or risk votes to cut Medicare spending and Social Security.

Just my 2cents,

JD

What Mr. Mahoney does with his Personal Life, has no reflection with his appointed position. It is just like any other person who makes mistakes within their personal life but does not interfere with their occupation. I feel since Mr. Mahoney has been in office he has done a great job for the constituants in District 16. There is a distinct difference between Mr. Mahoney and Mr. Foley. Mr. Foley was interested in young boys and was using his position while at work to do the dirty work. He was doing his thing while supposedly working for his constituants. I will still vote for Mr. Mahoney on Nov. 4th. He is doing a good job and I truly believe he will learn from his stupid mistakes. It is not only Mr. Mahoney's fault. Wouldn't be surprised is the other subject involved didn't come on to him and he being a man, didn't think about the consequences. There are two sides to every story. Women can be real mean when scorned. She is just as much at fault as he is. Keep up the good work Mr. Mahoney.

Sincerely, LILBIT
