A Florida man with no medical training has invented a machine that he believes may lead to a cure for cancer.
What do you think of the possibilty of a cure for cancer in your lifetime?

I would love to jump right in the middle of this one. I have a tumor that is in the middle of my spinal cord at T12 and can not be removed. I can no longer walk or perform a large amount of a mans normal task. I am 61 years old and did not see retirment as being this way. Because they can never operate on my tumor I would love to volunteer to be the 1st in line to try it. Thanks John Hale

The missing component is a pathway that will allow nanoparticles to attach to cancer cells. In Calgary Canada Oncolytics Biotech is well advanced with their cancer cure using the reovirus (common cole virus) this follows the RAS pathway to locate cancer cells throughout the body by combining their product Reolysin with the Kanzius machine there may be good possibilities.

Now after releasing my initial steam on this story, I read all the comments about it and found that the story is over 14 Months old but appears on the Channel 25 Website like it is new.

Regardless the comments are very revealing and actually underline my initial suspicion.
roxyroxy 01-03-2008, 3:36 PM The comment is emotional and basically right but in the US it is clear that people like to sue another and so the timeframe between tests is set to a period where they (Investors) feel secure enough to take a try. It is all about the money and not about the real ramifications of an invention. Let people die that is okay. Special with this administration, it is just simple collateral damage, so what? Doctorno 12-30-2007, 11:14 PM Just another believer into doctrines and supreme statements. Never believing they can be wrong and therefore hamper every inventor. Actually just a Ptolemy who still cannot comprehend that the Earth is not the center of the universe. jesse50 11-17-2007, 11:11 AM He just underlines my initial assumption and I believe he is right. Gman07 11-01-2007, 1:03 PM He also underlines my initial statements and points out that this kind of behavior is as old as it can get because it is based on greed of the so called Powerful ones. gmthomas44 09-17-2007, 11:47 AM He tries to be smart and underlines his believe in standard doctrines. SkattBrain 06-28-2007, 12:28 PM This guy tries to be even smarter and again falls under the category of Ptolemy believes and doctrines. Silver777 06-11-2007, 1:28 AM This Guy cannot read and tries to discredit without reading the entire story and implications. He also depends on his stubborn ?Knowledge? and does not allow any variation of it because it could destroy his believes and that would be fatal. ofrager 05-31-2007, 2:47 PM No-brainer, a former broadcast Executive surely knows how to use his options. cast6 05-31-2007, 7:53 AM Just another sample of ? Undisputable Knowledge?. No options of advancement and possibilities, he knows it at all and can prove it by pointing to other stubborn doctrines. JoeNBC 05-30-2007, 10:30 PM He is really funny with his comment. Try to save the Media. It would be better said and would be more earnest, (in sink with his statement) to be aware of Advertisers, Investors and the Big business of Oil, Banks, Insurance and Pharmaceutical since such inventions could be deal breakers for them and therefore could shorten a reporters income.

Surely the first who will fight over this invention will be the Pharmaceutical Companies since they will loose Billions on easy profit. Second the Insurance Companies who believe that they are in charge of who lives or who dies and, of course their profits would be affected as well. Than comes the worst of all the Cheney Bunch, meaning the Pentagon officials who in sink with the Bush administration and their scare tactics of National security will claim the invention for themselves to perfect it in a way that it can kill as many as possible people. Than comes someone who offers the inventor some Performa sum to make him quiet about his invention and development and in six or twelve months no one will talk about it anymore and sadly enough people still will die on cancer. Prove me wrong, it would be a relieve from standard experiences. But not enough, the Inventor also has made the Oil-Industry as his enemy, by accident, and that affects the Bushes personal pocket change and now it will go ugly. In summary: The invention shows clearly that high priced and often so regarded institutions, who do this kind of research for a living, are often to much in sink with the general doctrines that they know everything and if it cannot be turned to profit fast for Pharmaceutical, Insurances, Banks and Oil industries, it is not worth it. Their propaganda that it is for the better of mankind is just an elaborate scam as usual. The question is, at which time the Media recognizes the opportunity (and actually the responsibility) to keep being on such stories and make them NOT disappear because their investors or advertisers do not like it?

We need to get on the ball and get a patition going to pass a law for this specific invention. There are hopeless people that have been told they will die and so i think that the scientists should let these people take a shot at this cure. Why wait so long? Anyone want to jump in on this? And how would one go about getting a law passed quickly? I am a cancer survivor myself so i know what its all about.

We do have alternatives to Hydrocarbons out of the deep earth. the biggest challenge is it does require effort that most Americans are unwilling to put forth.
A new book, "Alcohol can be a Gas" by David Blume is out and it proves Ethanol can replace much if not all of our fuel needs using no prime AG land or even requiring crop land. There are ways to make Ethanol using Primary treated Sewage to produce thousands of gallons per acre using old gravel pits, flood plains, marginal land etc. As little as 6300 acres of surface per U.S. County could replace all our transportation energy needs. This is not for the lazy. Blumes site is permaculture dot com or try ush2 dot com The total land area required represents less than 1.5% of crop land, and we get clean water fit to drink as a benefit!

Royal Rife did it before, and like then, I can't see the AMA or big pharma allowing this to happen.

It's both promising and sad to read this article. The sad part is the radio frequency technology to cure cancer was devised in the 1930's by a man named Royal Rife. Machines based on his technology are available but are currently banned for use by doctors in the United States.
The promising part is that the door is once again open to this effective method of curing disease. We'll keep watching to see if this time, it can overcome the politics of cancer.

Using this as a alternate source of energy is most likely ludicrous. First of all, Hydrogen doesn't burn with orange or yellow color. When hydrogen burns there is no color so apparently there is something else going on here. 2nd of all, for the most part the energy required to produce hydrogen from water exceeds the amount of energy that can be extracted from the use of said hydrogen. In other words it takes substanially more energy to make this "source" than it can deliver, so over all.. it's a loss. It was a nice try though!
