while I enjoyed all the choir singing by the morning crew, Top honors must go to Elizabeth Kayaking to Grandmas in the WRAL fountain. I don't believe that can be topped. Happy Hollidays to you all

I enjoy the morning show! I like the cohesion that Laurie, Bill, Mike, and Mark have. They appear pretty relaxed but yet professional. The pet pictures and Tar Heel trivia are pretty cool too. Sometimes the AM news is just a repeat of what was on at 11 PM.

I particularly enjoy Greg, Monica, and Dr. Mask!! I like the 255 channel that played several of Monica's 5 on your side. Greg is pretty down to earth also. I like the way he reports the weather and his little weather trivia. I really like the news being on mix 101.5 at 6 PM. Especially if I am in traffic!!

I read a lot of comments about people not wanting to see the negative issues. I agree, but, if it were all positive, it would not be news! Overall, I am faithful TV 5 watcher!! What ever happened to Jim Payne?

I think that they should give Bill Leslie more air time. Or let him do the 6:00 news. He has that down-home feel in his conversations and reports. Plus, because he is a North Carolina native and is from Morganton, he knows more about the state's attractions than the mostly out-of-state co-anchors that make the newscasts. His Tar Heel Trivia is so informative on the noon shows. Even knows about the state's mountains and elevations more than the people in that newsroom. He's one of the best news reporters in the business. Even though he might not be on for the offer, Leslie would bring new life to the evening newscasts . Mark Roberts is funny, but he should be a comedian soon if this traffic gig doesn't work. His one-liners are so funny. I hope that the News Channel goes well.

Ever since Charlie Gaddy & Donna Gregory left, the show has never been the same. They need to get new anchors for the 6:00 pm news. Crabtree and his co-anchor just dont cut it. The 6:00 news has pretty much gone to the gutter in past years. The Morning news team is very good. They should put the morning team on at night and send the 6:00 pm crew to the little legues.

Are the owners friends of Rupert Murdock?

I enjoy it however...Mark Roberts and his corny jokes frankly get on my nerves...seems like a nice person, just corny.

Just my two cents...N

I appreciate that the topics covered are not always a copy of what's on the next news channel. You stand out, but have respect for modesty & sensitivity of the viewers. I also seem to change to channel when negetive elements are showing, however, I believe you have a careful handling which makes things easier to watch.

God Bless America!

I like the channel overall, however I must agree with some other posts in regard to negativity.

I do appreciate the reporting and the coverage of various world, national events and how sometimes they tie in to NC. But I do not appreciate the negativity and bad news.

I enjoy the early morning shows the best. Why? There is more humor, interaction between the reporters and even have a pet pic of the day! It is more fun and maybe somewhat more relaxed.

Mark Roberts, Mike Maze and the anchors are great. Its the editors and writers who make the decision to focus on the negative that sucks!

Maybe the evening newscast have a business section, an entertainment section and more of the "5 on your Side" stuff. The comsumer watch as well as the health watch stuff is great. More variety and more upbeat for goodness sake!!

I would like to see more postive stories reported on.I have just about stopped watching the news both locally and nationally, due to all the focus on all of the negative things that happened that day..there has to be postive things to report on. If I thought for one minute that the only events happening in the world were the ones being reported on I would shoot myself because I would not want to live in such state of misery. I know there are plenty of positive, upbeat things happening out in the world, boy it would nice to hear more about them, but I guess that wouldn't sell advertising..

i really like your forum pages. I wish you would make it easier on the main page to get to the article or topic you wish to comment about. For example I have a hard time finding discussions on the episode with the Dixie Chicks. You have to really search to find the area where you can speak out.

otherwise this is wonderful
