Please share your impressions of the Goodale family's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" home. We'd love to know what you think.

Though their home is truly beautiful, I am still somewhat concerned Doug's option to not reveal his past may undermine him and his delightful family. I feel strongly everyone should be able to put aside their childish stupidity and choices and then move on which he seems to have done. Kudos to him and his family. I hope they enjoy this home and what was done for them as they seem to be a delightful and very thankful family. The volunteers are really today's heros! Congratulations on a wonderful job that's well done!

Yours,

Pogo The Pug

What a beautiful place! I didnt get to see the inside while I was on site, but my husband got to help stock the groceries! Its amazing how much footage they really cut out, the show was good, but I felt it really didnt "touch" on how much was REALLY done! The home is breathtaking, Im soooooo jealous!!! Smile

I think the home is just beautiful. I was there nearly everyday and am just amazed at the number of people who gave of their time to help someone they didn't even know. It is wonderful to see such an outpouring of kindness. In response to the post asking how this family will afford this home. I do know that there is a trust set up to take care of the expenses relating to this home.

I thought it was absolutely gorgeous, hats off to all the men and woman who worked hard and made it happen. I was able to work inside the house the day the family came home, but it was still amazing to see the show and see how the whole place came together. When they say that it is down to the wire it really is, there isnt a second to spare before the family came home. It was one of the best experiences of my life!

I think it was just wonderful that, a Maine family received a new home, that they needed so bad. I do have a question, they were having a hard time making ends meet, how will they pay the high expenses on the new home? Thanks
