The Mars Band wins awards all the time. They are not the biggest band around, but they seem much bigger the way they play so loud and so great!

The Yough Cougar Marching Band will have new uniforms for the Fall Fantasy Parade at Kennywood. Did anyone else get new band uniforms this year?

SOUTH FAYETTES " Little Green Machine" it's small but out performs the larger bands in not only the ST. Patricks day parade which it is usually lead band in.I believe it has won more honors than any it has been asked to perform or participate in. It has been excluded from some exhibitions because of its size -but it would have probably won because you can't beleive their sound for their size! Ask around and you will find out these larger band leaders are afraid to compete against them.

Of course this is a biased opinion in as i used to march for them 10-14 years ago! OMG I AM OLD!

Well I'd say it's probably dead lately because it isn't marching season. Once people start attending band camp and prepping for next year they'll come back.

Gotta say that Norwin's band by far steals the show this year.... Their show, "Oceans" features great sound, great dancing and spinning by the colorguard, and most of all, one of the highest amounts of talent I've ever seen from any local High Schools.

Heard that the Yough colorguard and majorettes are getting new uniforms. We haven't we seen them yet. Will they wear them in the Irwin holiday parade? Wishing you success
