I can not believe that the STeelers would even consider making Michael Vick a Steeler. He does not have enough class to be one of us, no matter how well he plays football. I expect the Rooney's to act with the character that we are used to from the Steeler office and set the record straight. Our fans and players deserve better than Vick!

Hey caroluswft , I don't think Big Ben really wanted to be in the news about something like this! Get a grip. I think it's terrible how easily one can accuse someone of something like this and how hard it is for someone to prove themselves INNOCENT! It's obvious that the woman is just out for money. I hope for Ben's sake, he can have his name cleared very quickly. What a shame.

You obviously would'nt know a good quarterback if he bit you in the tail. Why do you, or anybody, even CARE what Ben makes? None of it comes from idiots like you. We should be happy the Steelers are willing to pay for results. If they didnt you'd **** about that. (i.e. Pirates)

Oh My Lord "Big I am worth a Million Doller Ben" hurt his knee. What a drama Queen. And you all think he is so wonderful. He needs to grow up and be a man. No more drama

I've heard alot of local guys griping about losing Byron Leftwitch. He wasn't satisfied with being a backup. Maybe he'll get a chance with the Bucs...probably not. I think Mr Colbert did the right thing by giving him a fair offer for a backup. I talso think Charlie Batch is more than an adequate backup. He has little wear on the tires over the last few years. Despite his age, he has a lot left. Besides, who did Ben rush over to for a consult the last few years? Charlie Batch! They showed that on TV all the time. There's something to be said for that.

Glad to see James Harrison got his contract. I heard one of our local know it alls already say he'll never the end of the deal. That's the NFL. He received the guarantee of what? $20 million? I'm sure if he continues to play like the animal that he is (no disrespect intended), his agent will revisit this in a few years anyhow.

They claim the Steelers have the 4th easiest schedule for 2009. Huh? Are these the same ones that made such a big deal about 2008 being the toughest - yet it became a Super Bowl winning season. If this really meant anything, that simply wouldn't happen.

Of course these guys that make such a big deal about this are mercenaries that would go talk favorably about the Ravens or Browns if the price was right. We all know what that says!!!
