I would like to nominate South Park's Tight end/Defensive end, Adam Gill #86. Hes not only a great team player he is also a great person. In the past games Adam has done a fantastic job helping his team have the best ranking in the AA Conference with a 12-0 record. The south park team is playing the title game at Hienz Field. And im sure that he will help lead this team to victory and to the state championship. He always has time to help out the lower classman, throught their problems in school and on the football field. Please cosider him as a football player and an awsome person.

Ben Jennings is THE Outstanding Student-Athlete of The Week! The top ranked Penn Hills defense hit Ben HARD And OFTEN. But like a Timex watch, he takes a licking and keeps on ticking. The entire Trinity TEAM deserves the award because this was truely a team WIN! But if you must pick a single athlete, Ben exemplifies the Trinity spirit.

Soor my mistake that shoud have been 10-30-2005 when Dante had the chance to run circles around him and didnt. Dont make statements that you can back up. While I am here I also nominate Travis Menear. Great athletic ability. And yes that was the first time since 68 since MHS took the whole title , however they were co-champs in 1983 with Frazier and in 89 with Monesson. Had they been well coached this would have been the year to go beyond.

I would like to nominate Travis Menear for student athlete of the week. Travis has shown tremendous improvement on and off the field. Travis has become a dependable, unique, diversified player, and a young man. he has led the team in tackles since game two of the division play.Since then he has had two honors from the paper for best defensive player for the game. He plays for the Mapletown Maples and this team itself has accomplished a tremendous task. They are the Tri-County South Conference Champs. This feat has not been done since 1968. Travis as well as any of the young men that played on this team deserves this honor, in saying that it would end a very exciting year for him. He has averaged at least 10 tackles a game. If you would ask him should he be nominated he would tell you no, because it was a team accomplishment. That is the type of person he is on and off the field an all around good guy.

This is the place to nominate student-athletes, not to air Mapletown's grievances. I would like to nominate Drew Dunlevy as student athlete of the week. He is a three sport player, president of the senior class and maintains a high GPA.

I would like to nominate Travis Menear. He plays for the Mapletown Maples and he is a defensive linebacker. The Maples won their second conference title since 1968. Travis has led the team in tackles since the first week of division play. Travis has also been named the defensive player for two weeks in a row by the Herald Standard. Travis has averaged at least ten tackles per game. This is and would be a great accomplisment to end a very exciting year.
