On behalf of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, I wish to express our board's condolences to the family of Lt. Governor Catherine Baker Knoll. She was a beautiful person in that she took the time unselfishly to be with each student and their families at a recent Youth Art Month Celebration--March 2008. She took part in the ceremony of declaring March as Youth Art Month, along with Senator Robbins. She stayed after the ceremony to have her picture taken with each student award winner and their families. She spoke so eloquently of her love of the arts and her love of children and education. It is a memory that many will cherish. God bless Lt. Catherine Baker Knoll. She will be missed.

Best regards, John Skrabalak, Past Co-President of the Pennsylvania Art Education association

I remember October 14, 2000 the day I joined You and other dignitaries on the Mc Kees Rocks Bridge for the Dedication of the Pressed Steel 1909 Strike Marker. The 100 Year Anniversary is July 10 2009 you will be with God and the Souls you dedicated the Marker to. God Bless time to rest. Stephen A Sekelik DJS FILMS Mc Kees Rocks PA.

Thank you Mrs. Knoll. Our Boy Scout Troop had visited with you at your office in Harrisburg in 2003. You were very kind and so generous with your time and attention to the boys and leaders. It has been a pleasure to have known such a great person. In sympathy to Family and Staff. Dawn Richards

You were so kind. You gave me a book for my father from your days working together in PennDot. Your message in it to him said ?Thank you for being such a great mentor to me.? He cherished those words and was humbled by them. You in turn are a mentor, a trailblazer, for women and all people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Because of you, we know that it is possible to aspire to great things as you have in your life.

Thank you for all of the kindness you showed me on the many occasions that I met you. Thank you for your heartfelt sympathy when my father passed away. Thank you for leaving our world much better than it was when you arrived. Thank you for being a woman who stands for what she believes in. God will take care of you in heaven.

Sincerely, Melissa Meade

Dearest Katie,

You surely will be missed, with all the wonderful things you have done for us here in Pittsburgh. You truly were one of a kind person. I met you back in 2001 while I was working for the Sheriff Reserves. Again thank you for all you have done.

May God Bless you and keep you safe, Michael Van Stewart
