As part of WESH 2 News series on "Dollars & Sense," we are looking for you to share your money-saving tips. Do you clip coupons? Renegotiate credit card rates? Eat out less often? What are the things you are doing -- and how much money do you think you save each money doing them.

If you purchased a home between April of 08 and July 1 of 09 you may qualify for up to $7,500.00! Even if you have owned a home in the past. www.kimberanna.com/2009/01/12/first-time-homebuyers-7500-tax-credit

I have been using coupons for years, and because gas is good right now, am able to shop around at the best prices at the grocery stores.

When I receive change (coins) from a transaction, instead of spening it I put it in a jar and save it all year. This way I have money put away for Christmas.

We save money by eating at home. Also if we rent movies we go to the movie rental station they offer at our local Walgreens. (Redbox)It cost only $1.00 to rent movies including new releases.(Compared to 5.00 at Blockbuster or 25.00 for movie tickets) This way we save quite a bit considering show tickets, gasoline to get there and snacks in the show. Plus you don't have all the noise and crowds to deal with and can really have some good quality family time.

I dropped my home phone bill and now just use my cell phone that's a savings of $63.00 a month. Most of my family lives up in the northeast area and now I just talk to them on the weekends its free minutes using my cell phone.

I dropped HBO and turned in one of my 2 DVRs and I'll save over $30 a month! We never watched the movies on HBO anyway, and who needs 2 DVRs?

Respectfully submitted, Gail
