Do you think CNN host Nancy Grace was too aggressive in her questioning of Melinda Duckett, the mother of missing 2-year-old Trenton Duckett of Leesburg.

Amazing that this is a topic. Any parent whose chief desire is to have a helpless toddler returned is going to fully cooperate with all those investigating the missing child. Reflect for a moment on older or even adult missing persons: Jennifer Kesse, Carlie Bruscia, Lacey Peterson, Natalie Holloway are such cases. Why wouldn't she submit to a lie detector? Why didn't she tell the police where she was? The woman had studied criminal law. She knew that her secrets would be uncovered. I think she was totally selfish not to tell what she did with his body. Nancy Grace has more courage than most news media. She gets the thumbs up from me, the accused have many protections in this country but who is really looking out for the victims?

Criminal investigations are tough. Nancy Grace gave this woman a sample of what she was going to face as the investigation progressed. This individual chose her way of dealing with what she knew was ahead. Jenny Jones a talk show host in Chicago had a similar law suit after a guest appeared on her show followed by a murder. The family tried to sue Jones for causing the murder of their family member. The ruling was in favor of Jenny Jones.

You would think that Melinda would have wanted to have answered any questions that would have been asked to her if she would have not had anything to hide.As far as Nancy Grace pushing her to commit suicide, that is absolutely ridiculous. By all studies, people her are contemplating suicide it is not something that you decide in a matter of a few hours. Melinda seemed to be a well thought out planner.Nancy has done more to try and bring this little boy home than anyone. The people that are trying to drag her through the mud, what are you doing to try to help?

i believe she made her out to be a murderer than a distraught, mother who had no support. family support is very important to tons of people and i believe she lacked it. she probably didn't kill her son but sent him to live with someone else because she didn't trust her so-called husband nor his family to raise him if she could not. in addition, i believe no mother want their child to be raised by so-called family members who would talk bad about them and she thought she did what she needed to do (right or wrong) because verbal abuse is just as bad as physical. i believe everything and everyone played a part in her death.

Jim, you seem not to get it. Ms. Grace just asked Ms Duckett in a calm way where she went that day. Melinda said "oh we went shopping" Grace naturally followed with " well which stores" . This question was asked because most stores today have security cameras. Ms Ducketts answer was fear. As a former investigator myself I saw right through Ducketts lies. The death of anyone at there own hand is sad but wake up Jim, Duckett was a actor in this crime. Don't be a sucker Jim. Remember Melindas attempt to make her husband the prime suspect with that phoney E-mail she constructed. Thanks Jim. Craig Henne Satellite Beach

mr. philips
I have listened to you for many years on and off, and never thought i would here this out of you. malinda ducket would not tell anyone were she was before the abduction, she did not want a lie detecter test. sorry but if that is not enough to keep looking at her for anwseres, i am glad someone started asking her these questions . i really hope this not a ploy to get better ratings . go too far? think if it was your child.

You can't possibly be serious about Nancy Grace causing Melinda Duckett to kill herself. Mrs. Duckett knew who Nancy Grace is and her aggressive line of questioning. She went on the show of her own free will and, like the last comment, Melinda was so guilt ridden of what she had done to her son that she killed herself. If Melinda had just answered her questions this whole thing would be over, Trenton would be back with his Father and family. Again you can't really think Nancy Grace has that kind of power to make someone put a gun to his or her head and pull the trigger. If she did we could use her super powers and wipe out terrorism once and for all. You need to wake up Mr. Phillips and realize that Melinda was going to kill her guilt ridden self anyway.

First of all, Melinda Duckett was a grown woman with a child. All she had to do was to answer the questions from Nancy Grace honestly. It was quite apparent that she was lying during the interview. Anyone who feels sorry for her is a moron!! Nancy Grace did not put that gun in her hand, she apparently was so guilt ridden after what she had done to her son, that she killed herself.
