Criminals? Of course, because while people continue to talk about being so hard working, truth of the matter is either your using false or forged paper work or your working under the table. If you are illegal with a SS# it's stolen.(how the heck do you think your going pay taxes on someone elses # and think your suppose to get taxes back). So while Granny is over here struggling on her little SS check, guess what, she is in danger of losing maybe her only income because some illegal is using her SS# and now she makes too much. No need to talk like the state is going to fall apart w/o illegals that's plain rubbish!! Who wants to build a building and have the workers trash it and take a dump in corner of every room because they can't use the toilet. Yeah, we see the quality we're getting. Sounds cruel, it's true. How many people by law are suppose to live in a single family dwelling? Over crowding is trashing our neighborhoods. Read the Florida State law English IS the official language of our state. As for you people that think this is not an American country, excuse me, know YOUR history. Let me clue you in, Mexico LOST the war! America did not take your country. Mexico signed a treaty, RATIFIED BY THE MEXICAN CONGRESS and America paid Mexico for the land. America has been generous to Mexico for years. It's time for Mexico to be a good neighbor too. Illegals mistake was they wanted to lump their illegal status with legal and thought they had the right to make demands. An the Mexican President coming over here to tell us what we need to do, keep that up because all your doing is waking America up! Yeah, wanted to start a media campaign, save your money to help your country at home Presidente, because your going to need it. Those rallies should have taken place in your country not America. How can laws be loosened that have never been enforced?

This topic of immigration is being followed by millions of Americans and will be the main topic of the 2008 Presidential election for voters. The invasion of millions of people has made an impact on communities in many states. The impact on jobs, wages, education, health care, crime, city infrastructure and most important of all NATIONAL SECURITY.It blows my mind that we are a country at WAR, we have soldiers dying daily, fighting for this country, and at home we can't even secure our borders and ports.

Boy! I hope Floridians are still thinking about illegal immigration. If laws are relaxed, that not only gives the illegals a free pass, it also gives these businesses a free pass at breaking laws. Cheap labor equals high profits that are NOT being passed to the consumer. If they need to bring in workers from Mexico(and yes I said Mexico, since it is a fact that the majority of illegals are from Mexico)then either do it lawfully or close down shop and let someone buy your business that does follow the law. Personally, I don't care where your from,if you don't intend on following the laws of this country. Stay home. If your going to step on your own country men to get here, chances are your probably not the kind of citizens that we choose to have in our country. America welcomes immigrants!!!! If your here illegal go home, do it legal, because if you get deported won't that ruin your chance of ever being legal?

All I got to say now is Genos Steaks. The guy puts a sign up that says this is America please speak English when ordering. Is that really any different than Latinos opening a business where the marquee is only in Spanish? It seems to me that those business owners are only catering to the Latino community only. When I pass by those signs they say to me that if you dont speak Spanish your not welcome. Even in the Asian business district they have enough brains to post their signs in English and in their native language. Well maybe that is not brains but respect for where they live and the country that they live in.

No, we should not loosen Immigration laws. Illegal immigrants should be deported when caught and forced to wait to enter the country legally. We should enforce the laws on the books.

Immigration laws in Mexico are stricker than here in the United States. It isn't legal for me to sneak into Mexico and work there. California is a "lost State' with over 50% of the population foreign born and Miami is a "lost city" where English is rarely spoken. The real problem here is not what Congress does but what actions the militant right wingers will take as the situation continues to get out of hand?

Here is something we should all be thinking about. If we decide to make all those Illegals, legal what makes you so sure they will be content Picking our fruit for .25 a bushel, Or cooking our food for less then minimum wage, or making our beds in hotel's. They will go out and try to get real jobs. Do you think they want to work in the fields or make our beds and do all those jobs that Americans don?t want? Americans don?t want those jobs for a reason, Businesses don?t pay big money for those positions for a reason. If we make Illegals, legal they will be Americans and will search for those higher paying jobs and quit all those jobs that Americans don?t want. For all those bleeding hearts, here is a news flash for ya, they don?t want those jobs either, they never did! Make those people Legal and we will have 12 million new people on welfare.

Everyone seems to have differing opinions on this issue. What is clear is that those who are bashing the citizens that want rid of the illegal immigrants are so small minded that they cannot wrap their tiny brain around the fact that these people are here illegally. Immigrants who follow the immigration laws are welcome. It is the illegal immigrant that is the issue. There is something we can do. If you are an American citizen and a registered voter, write to your Congressman, the Governor and to the White House. Let the politicians elected to represent us know exactly where each of us stands.
