Should Bill Callahan consider playing another quarterback?

I think that Bill, should give the QB a chance at the starting spot. If he doesn't do a good job, then as any other coach should do, is get a QB in that spot that will give the team a boost to the spot where they belong.

Absolutely not. Joe looks amazingly sharp in most every area with the exception of some of his passing decisions. This is much easier to fix than many other issues he could be having at this point. It's really incredible that he has come so far so quickly. Joe paid the price to be starting QB in this system. He made up in studying what he lacked in experience. It's actually encouraging if in fact it's true that he's got the most INT's in the NCAA right now. You don't throw the most touchdown passes in the nation without first throwing the most INT's in the nation. If you're not getting intercepted you're not throwing enough. I say stick with him. He's got heart - he's got brains - and he's also shown that he's got some talent.

Go Huskers!

I think bill callahan should keep joe in. you have to remember this new west coast deal that these kids have to learn is new to them plus keeping up with school is a lot for them . but i think they can handle it bill callahan has put togather a real good team for this season. you can see that i think joe and his team can get the job done .i think in the next game joe will be more comfortable with the west coast playe's because he didnt seem comfortable with it in this game, until the last quarter so i think the coach should keep joe in he is good i have comfordent in this team. i think with bill callahan they can beat OKLAHOMA. and if they beat OKLAHOMA. they can beat all the rest.

A BIG FAN OF THE HUSKERS.

How can you possibly ask that question after following just the second career start in a all new offensive skeam? That is such a dumb question. If you find yourself asking this question, have you ever heard of the word PATIENCE?, you better be ready for what is to come, because it's only going to get worse before it becomes better.

If Daily is still making the horrindous decisions in the 2nd half of the season, then I agree that he needs to be looking at a new quaterback. Until then, stay off the man's back. For Gods sake!, Dailey is my age, and I can't even begin to imagine being on the field with 70k+ fans with all eyes on me, let alone the pressure of being the new quarterback in a new system. So just put yourself in his shoes and try to imagine how you would feel...just something to think about.

Give it TIME!! I can picture us playing for the National Title in 4 years, until then...remember the meaning of PATIENCE.

I firmly believe that Callihan has to give Joe a chance considering the change he made from option to WCO. But I also think he should be giving the other young gun slingers a little experiance so they are not thrown into the same situation down the road. How about that Danny Woodhead, Callihan?...Ron Van Nortwick

The guys behind him don't have any experience either. I hope Joe cuts down on his turnovers. He seemed like he was thinking too much out there. Not seeing defenders. He can only get better. But to bench him will only hurt his confidence more and the guy behind him is an unproven wrestler and another true freshmen. I say stick w/ him. It wasn't all his fault, either.

Bill should consider trimming the amount of plays Joe needs to remember... 300+?? Did anyone else think Joe looked overwhelmed? I also thought it was very ironic how NU was running I formation late in the game

I guess good ole Bill only has 2 more games to lose until he is fired, huh? So much for all the hoopla on the great coach Nebraska got this year. I say good enough and I hope there are plenty more games where Nebraska "drops the ball". I guess I will continue to wear my OU hat and try not to look sad when Nebraska ends up at the bottom of the heap.

A week ago, the Nebraska quarterback was the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel. Lose one game and now it's the quarterbacks fault. Nebraska lost this game, and many more to come a year ago when they fired a perfectly good staff.
