What do you expect of this season's Nebraska Cornhusker football team?

If people would read or listen to the news, you would have heard Stoops say that he was trying to run the score up on NU. When the Baylor game was over, he said that he did not want to run the score up on them because of sportsmanship. He admitted that he wanted to get BCS points in the NU game. He admitted that he kept White in the entire game to run the score up. He could have run the ball for the last five to eight minutes and ran the clock out. But he didn?t, he kept White in the game, and had him throwing. Again, Stoops was trying to run the score up on NU. The only reason they did not was because the blackshirts were playing well. Don?t try to say that they were not playing well. You cannot keep a defense on the field for 55 minutes a game and not expect a team to put up big yards on a tired defense. It does not matter how well conditioned they are, they are going to tire out sooner or later. My hat is off to the blackshirts for showing guts this season.

Despite the ignorance of mmorri1 in not being able to see that Oklahoma would have run the score to 100 if they could have (Jason White was in the game to the bitter end and shooting for the end zone), Bill Byrne is the man you need to pin your anger on, not Steve Pederson. Byrne should have just left the program and gone to Texas A&M leaving the big decisions to the new guy, but Byrne mishandled the whole thing and then fled. Solich should have been whacked with the rest of his staff after the 7-7 season and turning Nebraska into something mediocre. You'll be eating your words in a year or two when Nebraska is back to dominating the Big XII.
So rein in your spite and swallow that bile you have for the guy (Pederson) actually doing something to get the program back to the top.

When Beck played Kalvin Bailey in the Florida Championship game like he posted on the 15th of Nov., did he talk to Bailey after the game about coming to Nebraska to join Beck and Lucky in the backfield with them? I ask because on Rivals.com Kalvin Bailey is quoted as saying his choice is pretty much narrowed to Georgia Tech and Nebraska and Beck could have done some face to face recruiting.
Harrison, I for one look forward to you and the rest of this recruiting class to suiting up on Saturdays in scarlet and cream. Thanks for the committment!

I hope that Mr. Pederson likes the University of Nebraska football team to be embrassed not only on the field but also off the field. Many football announcers and analysts have been making fun of a team that 3 years ago was going for a National Championship. I guess when Mr. Pederson does what he wants with a program it goes straight down the drain because that is what has happened this year. A big "THANK YOU" needs to go the Oklahoma Sooners football program for not embrassing the Huskers anymore than they needed to Saturday evening. The score of the game could have been much worse but the Oklahoma football team and coaching staff showed much class in how they beat Nebraska.

Pederson needs to go, and now. And everyone keeps ragging on Solichs recruiting skills. Does anyone remeber he just had a staff change and went 9-3? Does anyone remember how long it took Devaney and Osbourne to win? Osbournes old coaches where lazy and stopped recruiting so they got canned. Nobody gave Solich's new staff enough time. Callahan can recruit but he cant coach. He may start winning but he isnt going to win the big 12 title anytime soon and people will get sick of him and he is gone, but it probably wont happen as fast as Pederson threw out all tradation and loyalty the best football program in the nation once held.

Will anyone else be watching the NU v. OU game with their hands over their eyes and only catching glimpses of plays? I can understand why we are underdogs by 4 touchdowns, but I REALLY hope we pull of a better contest than that.

Where is Jordan Adams? Last I heard, he was suppose to be healthy by mid October. Is he not healing as fast? If Adams returns, I give two mistakes by Daily and then the bench. Don't get me wrong, Daily is a good athlete. Athete being the key word. He was not recruited as passing quarterback. He was recruited as a running quarterback. Get off of Callahan; the man is still using Solich?s kids. Once the man gets his squad in you will see a whole new kind of football. What did Solich accomplish? He went to the championship game with Osborn?s recruits, 7-7 with his. People seem to forget this. Get off of Callahan, leave Daily alone, and forget Solich, he was and still is not a big time college football coach. Who has called him? No big time schools. Because he cannot recruit and he can not keep a handle on his kids. Good riddance. Go Big Red!!
