Hear Boom?

At about 12:30 p.m. June 29, the Federal Aviation Administration told KETV NewsWatch 7 that the sound may have been a sonic boom created by a couple of F-16s that were in Omaha's air space at about the time of the boom.
Tell us what you heard Wednesday morning and how you reacted?

I was in the garage with my husband, and we were talking about God , and nature. So when the boom happened...I thought maybe God was telling me something. Have A Great Day  ))

Who cares? Why is it such a big deal? Isn't there anything better to report on? GET OVER IT! It was a loud boom.

Don't you people have anything better to do than worry about who heard the sonic boom and where they were when they heard it? WHO CARES!!!!

I was making lunch for my 2 year old when I heard the boom and the house shook. My first thought was my 2 year old got hurt. I ran to her room and she was sitting on her bed reading a book. My next thought was the idiots already firing off fireworks. Never occured to me it was a plane and I live outside of Offutt.

Im sorry but did someone say they "saw" a plane about to enter into sonic boom? How exactly do you see a plane about to enter?

My house rattle and I thought someone had hit my house with there vehicle. At the same time I heard a vehicle speeding off.

Live near 108 and Q. Was re-roofing a small storage bldg. When I heard that boom, I was expecting a lightening strike and ready to jump to risk a lesser injury, (bet there are a few here that wish I had).

I recently moved back from Orlando, Florida. Down there we would hear the sonic boom frequently from the space shuttle and Cape Canaveral was quite some ways from Orlando. I did notice it, but thought nothing of it, down there, the sonic boom is ten times louder than that. It really shakes buildings and houses and have even make some car alrams go off. The news stations were nice enough to let everyone know what time the shuttle would be coming back in, so we could expect the loud noise. The first time I heard it, it was frightening and woke everyone up in our house. That was in 1997. I thought it was interesting to see everyone puzzled!!!
