ABC has reportedly inked a deal that may look a lot like 30-minute weekly ads for a Berkshire Hathaway company. The cavemen of GEICO fame are getting their own show.

Love the Cavemen! Look like the men in California. The story line could go on forever.

I think this sounds like a pretty goofy idea! but I wouldn't mind watching it just to see what it's like. I really do enjoy the GEICO ads with the cavemen. they're cute!! it makes you wonder how long they could keep a whole show going with them in it.

From what I read ABC is just getting the idea from GEICO. It is not like this will be a 30 minute ad for insurance. GEICO is not producing the show and has said they have no interest in producing the show, becasue they are an insurance company not a prodcution company.
It can't be any worse than half of the shows already on TV.

After reading some of the posts, it ammuses me how seriously people take themselves. If you are so self absorbed and humorless as to be insulted by a commercial, than your opinion about what is funny and what is not doesn't interest me. I neither take myself seriously enough, nor am I such a know it all to have such a passionate or cynical opinion about somebody's idea about entertainment. Makes simple sense to me. If the statistics are accurate and the cavemen commercials had such an impact on sales, it would be stupid NOT to give it a whirl. Like I said, it makes simple sense. Even a caveman can figure that out. BWOOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!....that was a good one.

Congratulations ABC!!! I didn't think it was possible for anyone to come up with more asinine programming than already exists! You have created yet another source of entertainment for the dim-wits of America. Of course, the viewers of this show may be just as amused by watching a ceiling fan.
On second thought - maybe being sentenced to watching cavemen would be a great punishment for criminals. Wait, that would be "cruel and unusual punishment."

Sure is a sad state of affairs when there's not enough creativity in Hollywood to come up with something new...reality tv was bad enough but now to have shows based on commercials? Get started without me.
Bet it's cancelled after two episodes. I can count on one hand the # of decent sitcoms remaining on TV these days, and NONE of them were made from commercials.

I think the cavemen are VERY funny in the way they speak and act as if they're no different from anyone else in the 21st century. But, as far as creating an entire TV series based on that alone, I'm not sure how well it would go over.

I would rather watch a 1/2 hour show about the gecko. Cavemen are lame.

Obviously they work as a marketing ploy. We remember its Geico. Whether we buy Geico Insxurance or not is mute..the point is we corrilate those commercials with that name, and that is the first step in marketing. Anyone with a business knows that is the first step. So it is working. And yes they are abit funny I must admit.
