Dear Mr. & Mrs. Harris & Family, I want you to know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I've been praying for Amber ever since her disappearance; now I will pray for the repentance and apprehension of whoever murdered this innocent child. I cannot imagine your prolonged agony, but I've spent 46 years grieving a personal friend who was abducted and murdered. Your family and Amber will always be in my prayers. She is with the Lord Who loves her infinitely.

My heartfelt sorrow goes out to the family of Amber Harris- as a new grandparent of a child who is being raised in the city of Omaha I feel nothing but large amount of fear and have tremendous nightmares of the things that could happen to my sweet grandaughter as she grows up in that city and knowing there is nothing I could do from far away to protect her! I am sure you thought that raising Amber in Omaha was okay but as you have so sadly discovered it wasn't! I am not sure what a parent can do to protect their children from monsters such as the one who so crueley took Amber's life but rest assured that the Lord will make him/her pay when the jusdgement day for him/her comes upon them! Once again my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am a 16 year old black female and I feel every bit of how you feel. I didn't know Amber but im sorry to hear that she is gone and it hurts me that it took them 6 months to find her and Omaha isnt that big. And yes personally I think it was a race issue because if she was blonde hair blue eyes she would have been found alive. I knew people that knew her. I am no longer a residence of Omaha but if I were I would have been there to show my support with every one else at the memorial service. You picked a nice place to have the service because Bishop Barlowe is a great man. I am a family member of the mans trash can that her bag was found. Some one is trying to get everyone pulled down with them. I am very ampathic and I hope that they get who ever did this. My thoughts are here but she is in a better place now.

Dear Melissa, Michael and Amber's siblings: I just discovered this discussion and wish to add my condolences. Amber is on my mind constantly and I remember all of you in my prayers throughout the day. Amber was just beautiful and I'm so sorry she had to leave but I guess God needed her with him. I watched the memorial service and cried all the way through it. It was very moving and beautiful and I think Rev. Barlowe did a wonderful job. He told it like it is and I applaud him for it.
I'm praying for the police to find the animal (no, that's an insult to the animals; he's so very much worse) that murdered Amber and to either execute him or put him away for the rest of his sorry life.
Pay no attention to the criticism coming from people who don't understand. Amber is proud of you, I'm sure, as she looks down on all of you.
May God Bless You

Dear Melissa, Michael and family, I feel very honored to have met you, you are a wonderful family and there are no words to explain how bad I feel for you. I feel like I knew Amber even though we never met. She was Omaha's child also. It didn't matter to me what race she was or where she lived. I just felt I needed to do whatever to help. I just wish the outcome would of been different. I think it's terrible that people critize you. I would of probably flunked every lie detector test. And as for Michael's past that was years ago, plus we don't know the full story. I also think the police didn't do enough or was fast enough. As far as the news media I think that was fantastic, how else can you keep your child in the eyes of people to help find and now to find her killer. To know a killer of a young child is walking the streets of Omaha and the Chief doesn't even get on televison and stress this really is upsetting. It needs to be stressed over and over so that parents and children do not forget this. Especially since schoos are out for the summer. Thanks for making me feel comfortable in your home and I plan to stay in touch. I'm so sorry for your loss. Love Diane

To The Harris Family, I prayed for the safe return of Amber which seems so long ago. I also prayed for your family to receive help and support both in the spiritual and in the natural. My heart goes out to your family and my prayers are still with you. Amber seemed to be a loving and outgoing beautiful young lady. She is safe in God's presence now and watching over her loved ones. May God bless Amber's soul and spirit. May God bless your family and everyone who knew and loved Amber (and still do)!!!!
