It's natural for insults to fly the week before a big game, but it seems some members of the Philadelphia media have gone a little too low. What do you think? Why do they have to insult Green Bay's history and the personal life of Brett Favre?

Hi,
Please don't judge Philadelphia fans on our media. Most of the Philly sports guys are idiots and have nothing better to do than complain and take cheap shots. Not all of them are like that though, including Stephen A. Smith. Our fans are all about passion and we haven't won a championship in any sport since 1983, so we are extremely hungry (literally and figuratively). And as far as personal bashing, it is tasteless and that sportswriter shouldn't have done it. But don't judge our fans on him. Yes, there are the morons in the 700 level that start fights and go to the jail. But, all cities have their bad apples. The rest of us just love our Eagles and have no tolerance to make football games friendly and accomodating to other teams and their fans. Why? It's football. It's competition. It's why we all watch the NFL.

The bashing is well deserved. The packers choke because of a crappy coaching staff. They go into their prevent mode and have lost 5 games because of the prevent mode and some stupid play calling. Until Packer president wakes up and gets rid of Sherman they won't suceed.

Cheesesux,
I don't know what planet you are from, but please point me to where our media is "dishing it out" like your media has.
Attack Brett and his entire family is absolutely uncalled for. You can't get any lower than that, and the fact that you seem to think that is just fine, just adds more proof to the fact that Philly fans must be all jerks.
Sorry but we at least have some respect for human beings.
Personally I hope the Panthers kick your butt, as anyone with the attitude that Philly has doesn't deserve anything in life.

Is it really this tough for outsiders not to enjoy our fun? It's more then football, it's a group of people having, like in the past a good personal fun time. Something you will never enjoy unless you try. Go bash something else let us enjoy what little time we have left. Right or wrong it's those d#m beer brats that are making me laugh not you outsides that have no life. Heineken and brat anyone? Sorry no water
just a party that's all, join us and be happy

What's wrong Packer fans??? Sure, you can dish it out, but can't take it??? "it's just a game".... It's really sad to have your SOLE pathetic purpose revolve around football.
I think this strikes a cord with most packer fans because what the article states is TRUE! The author wanted to get under your skin. It worked!
If you can't take a little razzing from the other team, then find a HOBBY.

I read those articles. Years ago I visited Philadelphia and found it to be an interesting, historic town, but it was also dirty, crowded and congested. I also lived in Los Angeles for two years and Illinois for two and a half years (where Bears fans tolerated me in my green and gold surprisingly well). Give me the fresh air and the open spaces of Wisconsin over any of them anytime!
In the meantime, I'll let my team do my talking. GO PACK!

I am a transplanted Wisconsinite, living just outside Philadelphia. I was at the Dec 28th game at Lambeau and experienced something very distressing. When the Broncos were introduced, some people in the crowd actually booed. My 13 yr old son said we could have stayed in Philadelphia for that. The media here in Philadelphia really should be ashamed of itself for encouraging such low sportmanship. But after witnessing it in Green Bay two weeks ago I can only hope Packer fans won't be following in Phila's footsteps.
