A federal jury has found three former Milwaukee police officers guilty in the federal beating trial of Frank Jude Jr. The fourth officer on trial was found not guilty.

Do you agree with the jury's verdict? How does the verdict make you feel about the justice system and the Milwaukee Police Department?

the milwaukee police department is crooked and they have 2 sets of laws for citizens and public officials. always has , always will be! the only reason these officers were found guilty was because of the national attention and the bogus first trial! the milwaukee police department has been beating citzens since i was a kid, and killing some people in the process. ernest lacy comes to my mind! last june a dear friend died on his birthday tragically, i was upset and went to a bar and drank. i got drunk(huge mistake on my part)and on my way driving home i knew i had to much to drink so i pulled over and went to sleep in my car. i was drunk twice the limit and was awoke by two white officers on 35th burliegh in this parking lot. when i woke up i was startled by these 2 strangers and tried to take off in my car because i thought i was about to be robbed. one officer drug me out of my car and slammed me face first into the concrete, then after that these 2 officer beat the livin crap out of me. i was so drunk i could barely stand, they fractured my thumb, 3 l side ribs, i had blood in my cubital(that tiny circle in your eye),and the entire white in my left eye was completely red (blood). i had 2 black eyes, both were swollen closed. the officer that did most of the damage was 250 pounds or better and at least 2 inches taller and half my age. there were 2 officers present and if they couldnt cuff me as drunk as i was with out getting physical they shouldnt be police officers. my arrest report says i was arguementive, NOT VIOLENT OR COMBATANT! i filed a complaint with the city and against these officers, there was a sham investigation, and then to throw more salt on my wound the city attorney or district(i dont know which) told me he would not charge the officers, and that the 2 officers didnt even have to answer to my injuries, even though they brought me into the thier jail all beat up! what the hell kind of policy is this!? and what gets me is you see the police on tv wondering why the inner city wont help them or go to them for help. its like asking the devil to get you into heaven! ill never !ever! help a cop out in anyway ever again!i dont even wanna see one.im over my beating and i am in the process of moving from this foul city! the thugs and pigs can have this city! enjoy! oh by the way, that was the first time i had police contact in over 10 yrs! and i never been convicted of a serious crime. all misderminor kid stuff. from now on the only animals im going to be confronted by are the deers and squirrels that roam into my back yard

noone has said jude deserved to be beaten. He doen'st deserve to become an instant millionaire either. EVERYONE commenting on the verdicts and case is looking at this second hand. Only those who were there that night really know what happened, no matter your opinion on the outcome is.

why does it matter why jude was in that party?he should not have been beaten the way he was, nobody deserves that, and whoever is so sure that"danny" should not been found guilty what makes you so sure? were you there?I think the four of them are guilty and at least 3 of them got what they deserve

I don't think Andrew Spengler and Daniel Masarik should have been found guilty. The testimony of people who were intoxicated, made plea deals or had previously lied was just not credible. These convictions should scare everyone.

Spengler and Masarik were wrongly accused and convicted because they were the convenient suspects. I think it's frightening to think that a jury could believe the testimony of people who were experiencing "blackouts", accepted plea deals, and/or lied in the first trial. Nan Hegerty said "I believe the verdict is correct". Well, she wasn't there! and isn't she responsible for keeping Schabel on the police force after HE assaulted Frank Jude?

I am happy with the verdict. I sat through some of the testimony and what amazes me was how the jury ever sorted through all of the officers' lies. Just as disgusting as the beating was (including forcing a pen into Mr. Jude's ear until it bled) was the despicable way the officers lied for months afterwards about what happened, including to the FBI. It should scare the pants off of everyone in this city.

I think that the verdict's came back the way that they should have for the most part. I think that all of the officers should have been found guilty. It doesn't matter if you merely owned the house, if you saw what was going on and allowed it to happen you are guilty and need to pay the price for it. It doesn't matter who you are you do not have the right to beat someone the way that these men did. No person should ever be allowed to abuse their power the way these men did.

What would you do if a person you don't know walks into your house at what is suppose to be a celebration with friends, walks in your room and right away leaves...you find some of your belongings missing? People make it out to be a race issue but, it was never about that! I'm not saying that the beating wasn't bad Daniel and Andy were wrongly accused and its a shame that they have to take the fall for those that really did the beating and left. They lived there why would they just leave. Andy is a good person otherwise and its a shame to see he and his family suffer.

I question why Mr. Jude was at this party to begin with? With that said I do not think he deserved the beating he took, that is absolutely appalling. I just hate how everything becomes a race issue, and then an issue of money. From the get go the guilty plea truly means nothing, that was not enough. Now let's sue for $25,000,000!!!!! I am not a police officer and do not know any personally, but I do know that on a daily basis they deal with people or are disrespectful and aggressive. Aggression is a part of the job they took, as a result of the criminals they deal with.

It is said that in 2007 we still have to deal with issues like this. You would think that by now we would have learned how to treat on another. I believe the verdicts were correct and hope this is the beginning of building trust in our police officers. Although I am a minority in Milwaukee, I have been fortunate to not have any run-ins with the police department, but understand and believe the tension between minorities and the police. Milwaukee is known to be hyper-segregated and hope with this verdict, things will begin to change. Milwaukee has many beautiful things to offer and I would like a fair and just police force to be one.
