A jury has found Steven Avery guilty of murdering freelance photographer Teresa Halbach, but not guilty of mutilating the corpse.
Do you agree with the verdict the jury reached?

I think all of you conspiracy "not guilty" folks have watched too many movies. Crooked cops? Please! How is this man innocent? His let's say "not very bright" nephew confessed to everything. A boy of his intelligence level couldn't make up that many details. How could police not only plant a vehicle, DNA evidence, burned remains, bullet fragments without ANYONE on the Avery property seeing it? Peace to the Halbach family.

I don't believe Steven Avery raped and killed Theresa Halbach. I do believe he was framed by the Manitowoc Sherrif's Department. There are alot of crooked cops out there. We hear it on the news all the time. I also truly believe that anyone can be badgered into telling cops exactly what they want to hear (Brendan Dassey). If Steven Avery did what most believe he did, why wouldn't he have removed the evidence from his property. It's too likely to be sought out. One day though, and I hope it's soon enough, the truth will all come out into the open. The real person/cop who killed or planted Theresa Halbach's body on the Avery Salvage yard will be found, because the Lord lets nothing unfounded go on forever.

To Begin With WISCONSIN THINKS HE IS GUILTY That is why the State of Wisconsin convicted him, Got that Mikegina?
I cant believe the number of conspiricy freaks there are! Lets get real here folks!!! Just because he wasn't guilty once doesnt mean he isn't twice. The facts are that he could have very easily lost any regard for another human from simple and constant association with others of like mindset in prision. He may of went in innocent but came out just waiting to be guilty. And that isnt his fault but it is the start of a homicide. Too many of you are yelling frame up because you have no clue. there are things that will not be made public record until his nephews trial is over so that it doesnt taint anything in the upcoming trial. One person commented that he couldn't sustain a fire at a high enough temp for two hours to cremate the body. Yes he could, very easily. I will not state how, but anyone can do it. His blood in her car is irrelevant, as the circumstantial evidence was enough to convict. And to the woman who made the comment that he was a felon and had a gun, He was not a felon, he was exonerated on the charges that he was incarcerated on. There were too many people calling that card and were not up to speed. DOC wasn't doing him any good... when he was exonorated he was no longer their problem.
He is guilty but no one should ever forget that the Department of corrections is an accomplice in Teresa's murder.

I can't believe the postings stating this was a frame up and that Steve is innocent. There is no doubt that he did rape her along with his nephew, then killed her, then tried to cover it up. There is way too much evidence to not believe this. The car found on his property by search efforts. The plate missing and found in another car bent up. DNA on the bullet. The blood, the key on and on.
The police want to solve crimes and obviously did not like Avery for past reasons. No one disputes that. They aren't going to find a car, plant it on his property, plant blood, plant a key, on and on. It's unreasonable and those of you that believe this theory are as dense as Avery is to think he could get away with this.
I'm sure he's going to file an appeal. I'm sure he will lose. I'm sure Dassey will be found guilty too and more evidense will come out in that trial that all of you will doubt.
The whole country is in disbelief that you in Wi actually believe his innocence. Wake up Wi and get some brains because you all look foolish with these ridiculous postings.
You all should be ashamed to believe this is a frame up. These officers are not on trial and the prosecutors gave evidence to support their was not a frame up.
Dassey is next and he will be found guilty too.

Maybe the person who did this to Ms.Halbach also committed the crime against Ron & Nicole. Avery's attorneys should get together with OJ and search for the killer.

There was so much reasonable doubt,in the Steven Avery case. It's hard to see how a jury can convict someone on that much doubt. Why did he kill her? WHY.......HE DIDN'T

Thank God for the verdict of GUILTY...God bless Teresa Halbach's family....As a mother of five and grandmother of five I can feel the pain of their loss of such a beautiful young lady. Taken by someone so very evil...How can one person hurt another...and in such a horrible way....He will never beable to hurt any other beautiful young girl again. I hope the prisoners take care of Avery....They will know how to handle him...He won't be so big and brave in prison...Dear family, I am so sorry for the ache in your hearts that will never go away...Your daughter will always be in my heart and so will your family...God Bless you all...Patti

I used to live in Manitowoc and I myself have visited the Avery Salvage Yard for used car parts. Never was I afraid of being out there. The guys that waited on me were all very helpful and kind to me. I have heard of several different occasions where people have had differences with the City and County police force, where something happened that actually NEVER did happen or things were covered up to protect the police force reputation. I DO NOT think Steven Avery is guilty. There were too many conflicting stories and was said before WHY would Theresa call Avery if she had already been out to the salvage yard before. Why didn't the jury catch that???? Makes you kind of wonder about the jury !!!!! Yeah, Steven Avery may have had a shady past. But does that automatically make him a killer??? I don't think so. Maybe Manitowoc citizens should ask for public biographys of the city and county police officers that are hired to serve and PROTECT them. And maybe even see there past police records, I think alot of the citizens would be surprised !!!!
