I worked at Falk for 33 yrs and now retired. My husband is there 41 yrs now, and was in Shop 4 at the time of the explosion. He was taken to Aurora Sinai, cleaned up and came home. I thank God daily that it wasn't any worse for him. It was awful to hear that 3 had died, then to find out that you knew one very well hit home bad. Our prayers have been with the families since day one, and we can only hope that the memories of their loved ones will help them continue on. God has a plan, and he needed some great guys to help him out, and that's what we have at Falk.. Great people, fantastic workers, and good friends.

Warm Regards

As a spouse of a Falk employee I would like to thank the staff at Fridays and Miller Park for all the kind words and actions you showed for the families and employees. Our thoughts and prayers are with the familes friends and other co-workers of the three deceased and the many others that were injured.

I was outside getting ready to take my daughter to school. I was scraping my car around 8:10am, I heard a loud pop and the ground and house shook. I thought that it was Ladish which is about two blocks away.

I live in Cudahy, I heard a loud boom at about 8:10 Wednesday morning. I had just woke up to get my son out of his crib. about 10 minuets later my Mother in Law called to tell us that there was an explosion at the Falk Corperation where my Father in Law works. He was shacken up but ok. I imidiatly turned on Channel 12 news and stayed on channel 12 all day. Thank you for covering a story that has had such an impact on not only our family but the whole community.

First let me say that my heartfelt prayers go out to each and every member of Falk and the community that has been affected by this tragedy

I live by the airport and thought our roof was caving in until I learned that there had been an explosion.

Our neighbors husband works at Falk but he had just gotten home as he was on the night shift. My step Brother is also on the Urban Response and Rescue team for the MFD so he was a first responder to the scene. I give our Emergency teams a standing ovation in Milwaukee for how they handled this tragedy

I am amazed at how well the City responded to this Disaster. Scott Walker take note the SAME departments that you want to cut funding for are the ones who ROSE to the occassion yesterday to save people's lives.

I woke up around 7:30 and made some coffee and started to read the newspaper. And around 8:15 I heard this big loud noise and I thought something fell on my house or there was a big accident nearby. I looked outside my window to check my car and my house and windows started to rattle. Then I heard on the radio what happened. My prayers and thoughts go to the families. God Bless them all

I go to school right on 35th and Scott, which is near the bridge. Just got to school, sat down for a few minutes and was already falling asleep, and then a I hear a bang accompanies by scary trembles that felt like earthquakes. The widows blinds were shaken and all of us thought a car had crashed into the side of the building or if the school was going to fall down. Some of us immediately ran outside and can smell gas.
