My Dad was a terrific man. He will be missed a great deal. It is amazing that now he has past away all of the memories we have shared together seem like they just happened yesterday. He may have not of been my real dad, but that doesn't matter. He watched me grow up and was there for me no matter what. He was a terrific father, brother, son and friend. He would feel like king right now. I dont think he would no what to say to all of the support and love that surrounds him. You will always be in my memories. I love you <3 Kylee

My heart goes out to Cpl. Bruce McKay's family,& friends. Also to a true hero Gregory Floyd. I don't see how kenny is the victim in this or how he is the hero or what ever you people think. I personally believe that being a police officer is a hard job & not many of us could handle it. They miss so much like being with families & special events in there lifes. Ecspecially when they have young children, this man will not get to be there for his girl. She will be without a dad, if I were that girl I wouldn't now how to keep moving on. I also believe people should stop bashin on these true heros & sticking up for this other man. I mean next time you need real help & you go to call the police just think of who your calling....

Angela, Courtney and Kylie please remember Bruce is with you. He loved you all. The services for Bruce I hope helped ease some of the sadness you are feeling. I thought they were very nice and honored a wonderful person. Courtney, your dad loves you very much. May God Bless you all and keep you safe day by day, night by night.

The sympathy of my husband and myself go to the McKay family and people of the north country. Our prayers are with you. Cpl. McKay and Mr. Floyd were true heroes. It is sad that a young boy had to die, but by the time one is twenty four years old, it seems as if he would have learned to respect authority and behave more like a man than an enraged adolesent. My heart goes out to Cpl. Bruce McKay's family, friends & "brothers". Also to Michael Briggs?s family & friends, as I am sure it has stirred up a lot of emotion all over again.
Not only are Cpl. Bruce McKay & Michael Briggs undoubtedly Heroes, I would like to say that the so-called ?passer by? GREGORY FLOYD is my HERO. More has been said about the killer than this Hero. Gregory Floyd is a "real man". More people should step up to the plate like he did. I think more should be said about the humble man who has remained faceless to the public. Maybe it would encourage others to do the same.
I believe that ?Anger Management? should be a mandatory class in school, like English and Math, History etc. If anyone reading this can do anything about that, please feel free to use my suggestion and implement it a.s.a.p.
Sincerely,
A friend

To the McKay family, and the Franconia Community,
While some would think that being an officer in a small town like Franconia would be relatively safe, the State now knows this is just not true. People with no value for life, the law or decency live in all parts of the State, the Country and the World. This is why it is so important to support our members in law enforcement every day. Show them the respect they are due, commend them and thank them. Thank you Cpl. McKay for your work, your life spent in law enforcement and your sacrifice. God bless you and keep you.
With sadness, J. Duchesne, Dunbarton, NH
