Local civil rights activists began their official boycott of Louisville businesses March 5, in protest of a grand jury's failure to indict two police officers for their roles in the fatal shooting of a handcuffed black suspect. What are your thoughts on the boycott?

I thought Rev. Coleman and his minons were supposed to be boycotting Louisville. If that's the case, why then was he down on 4th Street protesting the dress code for 4th Street Live patrons? After all, the dress code would have FORCED many of his black followers (who can't seem to except any rules) from entering. Just another media event for the Rev and his main squeeze Mattie Jones.
that's the way it is.

Rev. Coleman is doing just what he is accusing the whites of. He is a racist. What did the white business owners in Louisville have to do with the shooting? As a matter of fact, no one in the community had anything to do with the shooting. If he wants to protest something it should at least have something to do with it.
Thank you,

THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR COLEMAN TO SHOW EVERYONE HOW LAZY AND STUPID HE IS. IF HE PUT HALF AS MUCH OF THAT EFFORT INTO GETTING A JOB THEN MAYBE PEOPLE WOULD RESPECT HIM. WELL... MAYBE NOT, BUT IT'S WORTH A TRY.

WY DO YOU WANT TO HURT THE BUSINESS PEOPLE THEY DIDN'T SHOOT HIM OR MAKE THE DECISION NOT TO CHARGE THE POLICE OFFICERS. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DO WHAT THE POLICE SAY AND EVERYTHING WILL BE COOL. THE POLICE ARE DOING A GOOD JOB TRYING TO KEEP THE STREETS SAFE.AND I'M SURE IF A WHITE GUY WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING MR TAYLOR DID THE WOULD HAVE REACTED THE SAME WAY SO GET OFF THIS RACIAL CRAP AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY SAY TO DO

MinisterL - Please note - being "CUT" can kill you. Police officers have the responsibility to protect the public, but NOT at the expense or deliberate risk of their own lives. They have the right to protect themselves from threat. I have two brothers (and I am speaking of those born to the same mother and father and not making am ethnic or fraternal sign of solidarity) on the Metro police department. I have the right to expect that they will come home to their families each and every night and not have to stop at the emergency room to be stitched up because they allowed someone to "cut" them, rather than risk harming the suspect. I worry constantly that one of them will be hurt or killed while protecting the citizens of Louisville. If Mr. Taylor had been charging one of them I would expect him to shoot, and not wait to see if Mr. Taylor could cut an artery and have him bleed to death. Criminals do have rights, but they do not include the wounding or attempted wounding of a police officer. Mr. Coleman has a right to speak, we all do, but I still think that a boycott is stupid attempt to make an invalid point. I believe the rules of force should be examined and changed, ALL officers should be required to carry non-lethal methods to subdue a suspect. But we can't change the past, we can only learn from it and try to see that it doesn't happen again.
