The two local police officers involved in the fatal shooting of James Taylor will keep their jobs. What are your thoughts?

all these fatal police shootings always remind me of those poor, misquided souls in Waco and Ruby Ridge. Yes, I'm sure mistakes were made and they could have arrested Koresh in town or whatever, BUT, if I open my door and see FBI, ATF, and just all kinds of law enforcement out there saying "come out with your hands up!" well guess what this poor, dumb white boy is gonna do? Come out shooting AK-47's or something??? Even ACTING like I had a knife or any weapon at all?? DUH! I think not. I could not organize a group large enough to take on the US Government. I hope nobody else can, either!

You don't have to know Taylor to know what that officer did IS Murder. Shooting anyone handcuffed and that many times IS MURDER! Now poor Mattingly is being used as a poster boy for police brutality when it should have been this officer as the poster boy!!!

freedom11, truer words were never spoken, people are crying about things that happen to them when they are breaking the law, or not responding to the officer, or trying to get away from them If you dont want problems, do what they are asking you to do, or better yet, dont put yourself in the position, (i.e selling drugs, brandishing weapons, etc) where they will be looking for you

We talk about fatal police shootings, what I don't hear is about all the Police Officers that have been shot, stabbed, beaten,ran over, abused, shouted at, cussed at, rocks thrown at, saved peoples lives, helped blacks,whites, and gave thier lives in order to protect yours/. If your pulled over STOP, if your ask to come to them STOP, if your searched STOP and let them. If your stopped by the Police let them do their job. If you've done nothing wrong , you'll have nothing to worry about. If you run , shoot at the police, you deserve what you get. People can shoot the police,but expect the police to kiss their butts in return. Help the police , don't hender them in their duties.

Dusty, That's crap and we all know it including you. It wouldn't have been the same if it was a white man. There's NO white man on tv being killed by cops. There's only white men on tv for Child Molesting. Those 2 moron of the metro department didn't even do their job. They never patted him down~DUH~,there were 2 of them and they couldn't take him down~PATHETIC~,last the man was handcuffed and couldn't kick his own a$$ or harm his own self let alone 2 cops. They're racist hotheads that think they are above the law PERIOD!

TO LATOYA...MAYBE YOU SHOULD BECOME A POLICE OFFICER THEN WE WOULDN'T BE PAYING AS MUCH TAXES ON THE JAIL SYSTEM BECAUSE YOU WOULD BE LETTING ALL OF THE CRIMINAL GO FREE. YOU MUST KNOW MR. TAYLOR PERSONALLY SINCE YOU SEEM TO THINK HE WAS SUCH A SAINT.

OK SINCE WHEN IS IT OK TO TRY AND ATTACK A POLICE OFFICER. WHETHER YOUR ARMED OR UNARMED, IT'S WRONG EITHER WAY. PLUS PEOPLE ARE ACTING LIKE THEY SHOT A HARD WORKING BUSINESS MAN WHO HAS NEVER COMMITTED A CRIME BEFORE. HE'S A CRACK ADDICT WHO HAS NOT ONLY DONE THIS ONCE BUT THREE TIMES NOT TO INCLUDE THE ATTACKS HE HAS MADE ON CORRECTIONS OFFICERS ONCE HE'S IN JAIL. BLACK OR WHITE HE WAS JUST ONE BIG PROBLEM TO EVERYONE INCLUDING POEPLE OF THIS CITY. ALSO LETS NOT FORGET THE OFFICERS WERE RESPONDING TO A CALL FOR HELP. WHO WILL YOU CALL FOR HELP???? SINCE YOU HATE THE POLICE SO MUCH LETS SEE YOU GET YOURSELF OUT OF A LIFE THREATENING POSITION YOURSELF AND HAVE PEOPLE CRITICIZE YOU FOR DEFENDING LIFE. LET'S NOT EVEN START ON REV. COLEMAN HE'S IS NOT ONLY RACIST BUT HE'S A CRIMINAL HIMSELF. IF I WAS A CRIMINAL WHO WAS ALWAYS GETTING CAUGHT WHEN I DID SOMETHING WRONG, I'D HATE THE POLICE TOO. SEEMS TO ME IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM THEN YOU'VE PROBABLY BEEN ARRESTED ONCE OR TWICE YOURSELF. CRIMINALS DON'T CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING BUT PROBLEMS TO THIS SOCIETY.
