What are your thoughts on the seemingly never-ending legal saga of Mel Ignatow, who was recently denied parole?

Someone has suggested that Double Jeopardy protection be suspended if photographic evidence is later found. What good would constitutional protections be if we allow exceptions to them? What if the police or someone else were to doctor a photo? Many of us saw the Vietnam War era photo showing Jane Fonda and John Kerry at podiums speaking to the same crowd. How many know that it was a doctored photo??? Think about what you are saying!

What a creep. This guy never deserves to see the light of day again. Anyone know his status now? (as of 5/2005)

I agree that Mel Ignatow is the lowest kind of person, and he should die for what he did to Brenda Schafer. In my opinion he was set free because the jury stero-typed Mary Ann Shore and disregarded what she had to say. The jury should have given the person more thought instead of her blond hair and short skirt. Lets face it, the Prosecutor was not as good as the defense. The people blew it, and let a killer, the worst kind of killer, walk. I disagree on sending him to Iraq, those people have suffered enough with Hussien, why would we send someone worse to prey on them. If he moves into the neighborhood, keep your girl children, wives, and female dogs away from him. Ignore him, and make him suffer, make his life miserable.

I have read the book "Double Jeopardy" about this famous murder. The book has an interview of one of the jurors and she said that everyone knew that Mel Ignatow was guilty of the crime, and the only reason he got off was they didn't have any incriminating evidence (the pictures of him actually torturing her). So it wasn't the actual jurors who were to blame for him getting off with murder. However, I'm sure that he's going to be in jail for the rest of his life anyways.

Mel Ignatow is the lowest form of society, if that, and should be dealt with accordingly. My heart goes out to Ms. Schaffers family, and I pray Mr. Ignatow dies in prison, as if he really even deserves that?

I was so happy today to hear the verdict on his parole attempt.:O) Maybe if they can keep him in there long enough, he will die in prison and that would be a blessing to society. He doesn't deserve another free moment as long as he lives!

He states that he is a model citizen when he is in/out of prison I guess if forgot to read Wester Dictionary on what that word really means.
