I was on the Kay Cuskey Talent show in the 50's and there was a group called "the hamboners" do you know if any of them are still around? They were great!!! Happy birthday and I hope you have at least another 60 years of great broadcasting

Hi, I saw a new commercial tonight while watching the 5 oclock news, and it had a picture of my grandfather ( trooper grazer from perky show) and I was wondering if those pictures were going to be added to the slide show on here? I was checking and nothing had been updated, but I saw some new pictures tonight while watching tv, and would love to see them in the slide show. How can I see the ones from the commercial I saw tonight? Thanks!! email me if you can with the pictures or anything! I would love that! sparklechic20@msn.com

Dance Party was something we LCHS kids weren't allowed to partake in. So we watched our friends from other schools having a grand time.

Covered Wagon Theatre changed my life. Literally. I was up at dawn to watch every Saturday... imagining myself in all those western places. It was a wonderful and magical day when I go to move out west and see all those places with my own eyes. Of all things that truly expanded my life and gave me the imagination to see the wide open West, it was Covered Wagon Theatre. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Happy Anniversary!!

Hapy 60th! I was born in Lancaster but grew up in Michigan. We moved 2 days before Agnes hit in 1972. I do remember watching Percy Platypus and the Cisco Kid on Saturday mornings! (OH Oancho...Oh Cisco!) Ther have been so may peolpe that have gotten their Braodcasting Careers started at your station! It's great to see the Kim Lemon's and Joe Calhouns ride it all the way! By the way, Congrats to Dick Hocksworth on his retirement! He is a true Legend in broadcasting! I am glad that I finally had the opportunity to come back "HOME". WGAL is a CLASS ACT! And a leader...not a follower! HAPPY 60TH and 100 more!!!

I'm not positive about the running dates of Percy...but I will try to find out. I think Marijane mentions them in our initial interview (which will be on the DVD in the EXTRAS portion)

To get the dvd....go to:

The DVD will have additional "clips" of news footage and some programs...but no COMPLETE programs.

We did find some clips of DR. DUDD...but I'm not sure at this time if there is enough to put on the DVD.

Most of the shows from the 70's don't exist. Only a few were kept for archival sake.

Hope you all enjoyed the show...!

I too am curious about whether tapes are available from past shows. I was on the kids program with Marijane in the 70's (maybe 1977) and recited a poem that my Grandmother taught me. We have since lost the poem and would love to be able to recreate it in her memory. somehow, my 4th grade teacher, at Hambright Elementry got me on the program. hadn't really thought about that in years but it's funny how it is coming back now. I am anxious to see the show tonight. would be neat to do and see a Then and Now profile of kids on the show back then, still in the area today. Briandombach@comcast.net
