We want to know what you think about the killings of two Lititz parents, at the hands, police say, of their 14-year-old daughter's boyfriend. Share you feelings here in our forum.

David Ludwig simply followed word-for-word and action-for-action scripts of detailed prewritten articles describing the actions and events which then finally took place. I was personally taught the details during my high school years in the 1960's and some earlier. A thoughtful writer could likely create a script that would lead eventually to a positive contribution for David.

This young man took two lives in a cold and calculated manner. So why I ask, should we allow him to be treated so well in the prison system. A young offenders program? He should be allowed to sit in his cell and stare at pictures of those lives he took. Educating him is not the answer. No wonder our prisons are full. Our criminals have better opportunites than those who are law abiding citzens.

Tax payers should not have to pay to keep this kid alive in jail...or for his "continued education" in jail. What does he think he's going to do with that? Good luck living with yourself, kid.

I'm not a biblical scholar but...that was "Old Testament", and became biblical history with the birth of Christ and hence the New Testament, which teacheslove, tolerance and forgiving. Only God is capable of forgiving this....I think Ludwig should be executed.

PHfan...I posted another comment after my last one as I did some more research of the case, but it was not accepted to be posted for whatever reason. Please remember however - This is a place for us all to voice our opinions - whether right or wrong...so please try and remember that...these are our own opinons - and we are here to voice them and learn from others information that we might not have heard on our own. My opinon - there's a lot more younger women running around secretly with older "men"...maybe Kara would be someone to think about for possibly talking to younger girls about problems she faced (pregnancy) and ask them to get help and not keep matters between the girl and guy - seek help! She made a mistake - but could maybe help others from making the same mistakes by telling her story. Just an OPINION of mine.

Yes, let's use are brains here and get over trying to implicate Kara. The authorities didn't find any evidence that proves complicity. Why is that so hard to understand? MICHAEL BORDEN KNEW THAT LUDWIG WAS PROBABLY ARMED BECAUSE KARA TOLD HIM THAT GUNS WERE DISCUSSED DURING HER PHONE CALL WITH DAVID.

On the surface, it certainly does not look good for her by jumping into the car with Ludwig after the murders. However, it's easy to throw stones without having gone through the same traumatic situation yourself. From the latest reports, she thought that she may have even been pregnant with Ludwig's child. Are her actions really that hard to believe? Come now, she was 14 years old and probably delusional or in shock. I read a psychologist opinion that viewed Kara running away as follows:

?She was in love, possibly obsessed, and she no doubt viewed him as a romantic rescuer. Such infatuations can be a form of temporary madness.?

Ludwig was there to take her away from the tragic scene which she no doubt wanted to get as far away as possible and start a new life. Consider that she may have immediately blocked out the thought that she was leaving with the one that created the whole mess. The only thing she is guilty of is very bad decision making. Please quit trying to twist this into something it isn't when you don't have any proof. There is nothing here to indicate that Kara had any desire to have her parents harmed or murdered.

Based on their religious upbringing, I would think that her siblings have been extremely forgiving of Kara regarding this incident. At least it seems the two oldest brothers focus all of their negative feelings toward Ludwig. They are orphans because of the acts of Ludwig, not Kara. I also find it hard to believe that Kara would be continuing to communicate with Ludwig, as just theorized here. I think she would want to close the chapter of that book and is being strongly urged by others to move on with her life. I can see Ludwig as the one that would pine for her as he sits in his well deserved prison cell.

I just don't understand how she got away with absolutely nothing. That boggles my mind. She knew about the guns - she knew he fired the guns and she went anyway...come on now...let's use our brains here. Here's something else to think about...she was smart enough to figure out ways of meeting him to have sex and such - what makes them think she's not going to get around the system (again) and still communicate with him through mutual friends and such? yeah - she won't see him...but she can still talk to him through others. I still think she should have gotten something out of this. I would LOVE to know how her siblings treat her. They are orphans now because of her stupidity.

A few of you should have a better understanding of this case when making your statements. How could Kara be charged with conspiracy by going with Ludwig AFTER the crime? Don?t you usually conspire BEFORE a crime? It has been reported that Kara warned her father that Ludwig had discussed guns on the telephone the morning of the murders. I agree that the police should have been called, but I?m guessing that Mr. Broden wasn?t very thrilled about the thoughts of potentially discussing his daughter?s relationship with an 18 year old boy/man with them. He mistakenly felt that he could handle the situation himself.

So many people just want to charge Kara with SOMETHING, but there hasn?t been anything of substance to show criminal acts or intent on her part. She is guilty of disobeying her parents by taking part in a taboo relationship with an 18 year old, sneaking around, and running off with him after the murders because she was in fantasyland or in shock. These are not crimes. They are very poor decisions made by a 14 year old girl. The Christian background makes it look even worse for both of them.

They had talked of running away and now there has been reports that they thought she was pregnant at the time. With her world crumbling around her, perhaps the only life she saw at the moment was with Ludwig. I?m sure that she didn?t understand the whole gravity of the situation at the time. I just see her as a spoiled, boy-crazy teenager that got in way over her head with a guy with some serious loose screws. I can?t imagine that she ever wanted her parents dead.

By the way, Totaro made a statement back in December that Kara was not pregnant. Kara, her sister, and youngest brother are now in a Midwest state living with relatives and going to public school.
