There has been talk about renaming the stadium? I do not feel that renaming the stadium is appropriate, it is un-original. That is not a clear representation of who Mr. Hunt was. I think we need to name a rolling roof after Mr. Hunt. It would be the first of it?s kind, it is pioneering, and that is what Mr. Hunt was about. He was about change for the better not change to be changing. I think our city needs to come tougher to see the vision that Mr. Hunt saw.

I had the privilege to meet and work for Mr. Hunt, he was the most humble and kind man of power that I have ever met. It was an honor and I will cherish ever experience I had with him. He will be greatly missed by me personally, the city and the league.

I never had the privilege to meet Mr. Lamar Hunt. He certainly contributed immensely to my favorite sport..and the the economy of KC...I think it is fitting for Arrowhead to be RENAMED "HUNT STADIUM" ...befitting for a humble man, now with wings...God bless the Hunt family in their time of sorrow...

I was 8 years old when Lamar Hunt brought the Chiefs to Kansas City and my father was a football nut. He was very into the NFL vs. AFL competition and I became very involved in the sport myself. My Dad would take me to Liberty MO. to watch them practice at William Jewel. I didn't know at the time what a historical event all of it really was. I recall watching the game between, Green Bay and Kansas City. That was something. My Hometown team, Lamar did that for Kansas City. He gave us the Hometown Spirit. You can still hear it at Arrowhead. He made sports history, here, in our home town and Kansas City was part of it. He made football what it is today. I remember the 1969 season and the 1970 Super Bowl. Lamar's team won. I was part of that too. My Dad was in the original ?Wolf Pack? and I was in the ?Huddle Club? and I went all the home games. I was there many seasons, even the season of 69. Lamar did that for lots of kids and families who will have those memories. That spirit still lives at Arrowhead today. Forty-three years later. Announcers always say we are the loudest stadium in the NFL, we always have a sold out stadium, every Sunday for many years. Thanks Lamar. I'm sure going to miss you and might I add that your family was very lucky to have someone like you in there life. This world is a better place because of you. God Bless You and You?re Family. Sincerely, Sheryl Howard Peculiar MO

I met Mr. Hunt when my sister and I were throwing the ball (football) around in a pick up game with other kids and my sister caught the ball without looking for it. Mr. Hunt walked over and asked, "Why not look back for the ball?" My sis said she knew it would be where her hands were so why look for it? Mr. Hunt got a thoughtful look and said hello to me as well and we talked football for 4 hours without catching a breath I'd bet. He was so nice. I'll miss him very much.

God Bless You, Roy Eastham

Lamar Hunt is and was Kansas City Chiefs Football! Amen to the die hard fan that said to name Arrowhead after Lamar. Hunt Stadium sounds great to me. I have had season tickets for 13 years and there is no better NFL city than Kansas City. The Chiefs should play their hearts out and go to the Super Bowl for LAMAR! My prayers go out to the Hunt family! Thanks for lending him to us all these years!

I never met Mr. Hunt, but I've always enjoyed the outcome of his dreams that came true. The NFL was his dream and his gift to us for what it is today and how much we enjoy it. Since I can remember, he's been a legend and pioneer in Kansas City for decades now. Kansas City was about BBQ and the blues, and then Mr. Hunt brought us football. My only hope was that he knew how much he meant to Kansas City, the fans, the NFL and the sports nation. My prayers are with the Hunt family and may Lamar be looking down on his dream from time to time every time the Chiefs play.

Mr. Hunt was a K.C. icon. A gentle giant in the world of the N.F.L. I never had the chance to meeet him in person, but like most people in K.C., I knew who he was. My condolences to his family and his team, the K.C. Chiefs. Thank you Mr. Hunt for being who you were. Thank you for all you did for this city, you will long be remembered. I am sure that when Mr. Hunt got to heaven, Derrick Thomas was there to greet him. Long live Mr. Hunt's memory. As a die hard Chiefs fan, not some fair weather fan, I feel that Arrowhead should carry his name.

Lamar Hunt like Dick Howser, Buck O'Neil, Ewing Kuaffman will be a name not long forgotten. I am very grateful to him for bringing football to Kansas City. He was a class act who will be sorrly missed, but not forgotten.

Mr. Hunt was the driving force behind many changes within the NFL and he was the true heart and soul behind this football team. We drive 6 hours each way several times a year to see our Chiefs play and it was always an honor to see Mr. Hunt. To his family, my family and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. God Bless you all and his legacy will live on forever.
