Rep. John P. Murtha died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Virginia Hospital Center after complications from gallbladder surgery.

I AM JUST HEART BROKEN AT THE LOSS OF THIS WONDERFUL MAN HE MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN THE JOHNSTOWN AREA I'M AFRAID THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME NOW THAT HE'S GONE.ANY INDIVIDUAL COULD CALL HIS OFFICE WITH A PROBLEM NO MATTER HOW SMALL AND GET RESULTS.JOHN WAS A PERSON OF THE PEOPLE, AND YOU MRS MURTHA ARE THE SAME ALWAYS TOGETHER AMOUNG US, EVERYONE KNEW YOU BOTH. I THINK JOHN WOULD HAVE WANTED YOU TO TAKE OVER FOR HIM.THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN OUR AREA WORRIED ABOUT WHAT WILL BECOME OF JOHNSTOWN NOW THAT WE LOST OUR WONDERFUL CONGRESSMAN. OUR THAUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOUR FAMILY THROUGH THIS TERRIBLE LOSS

I work at DRS Laurel Tech and was fortunate to have met John Murtha. He will be greatly missed. I agree with the gentleman interviewed on WJAC. Mr Murtha talked to you not at you. Whether you wore a suit or a blue smock you were treated with respect.

CONGRESSMAN MURTHA WAS A GREAT STATESMAN FOR THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. HE BROUGHT MANY JOBS INTO THE JOHNSTOWN AREA. OUR HEARTFELT SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO MRS. MURTHA AND THEIR CHILDREN. CONGRESSMAN MURTHA'S SHOES ARE GOING TO BE HARD TO FILL BUT WE HOPE MRS. MURTHA WILL FILL HER HUSBANDS SHOES. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

My sincerest condolences to the Murtha Family. Thank you for sharing your husband and father with our country. Also, thank you for allowing the broadcast of Congressman Murtha's funeral. Those of us out of state were able to be a part of his farewell. Our hearts are heavy with sadness but we remain grateful for the man who cared for his people. Thank you Congressman Murtha. HI Dear to the family of John Murtha my condolencs.I wanted to say I am sad and sorry of his passing. I still sad of it. I am 37 years old. I live in outta Johnstown for like 18 years now. I see and hears lot of things he has done for city of Johnstown and the USA.I have meet and talk to him like 2 or more.I tought he was a nice person. I been wanted to write something about him at this Forum.Now did know it will be keep and stay her for sometime. I wold to come to the funeral service. But the weather and me with trouble of walking I just can't.I wish to I can get a book or that paper that was at the funeral service.That saying all his life and things he met and so on on. OK sorry if I spell bad. that is just me. A man from NEW KENSINGTON PA. Ok TY BYE ... BYE FAREWELL JOHN MURTHA

i would like to say how sorry i am for your loss all though i never new him it is always hard to lose someone close to u and someone who did somuch for all he was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed god bless you and ur family
