Revelations of a pornographic film shoot in a dormitory at Indiana University is the talk of the campus. The film "Campus Invasion" was made at various locations on campus earlier this month by adult filmmakers from Shane's World, a Web site based in Van Nuys, Calif. The porn actors said they were attracted to IU because it was recently named the nation's No. 1 party school by the Princeton Review. What are your thoughts on this incident? Is IU getting a bad reputation? Should the students or the production company involved be punished?

I know this is after the fact of the IU thing. And the Purdue incident happenend later. I still had to respond. At least at IU the incident involved adults. Unlike the Child Porn the students at Purdue were accused of having.

I do know that there has been a craze for "college porn" going on for quite some time -- especially since this new "hidden camera" has been released as the hottest sale item. So the thought that this kind of thing wouldn't go on Purdue, or any college for that matter, is probably unbelievable.

What's more, aside from the fact that students pass pictures via email among one another (a means to get past the 'porno blocks'), and or usually find the means to get past them otherwise, has been going on for quite some time among college students, highschool students, and I suspect even middle or junior high students, if not (I fear) even younger.

But the real concern is that no one has the polical power is really doing anything about this. Here is a prime example where IU simply "warns" to not do it again. Idiots! It's already done! They need to prosecute against this -- this is the ONLY warning that will be heard. Or might we suspect that perhaps some of the staff (not naming anyone because I simply don't know ANY of them, nor anything about them) are enjoying a free "peak" of their students?

PORNOGRAPHY IS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL AND NO ONE IS PROSECUTING AGAINST IT!!!!!

I will only add further one note -- yes, it is a Biblical message: America needs to read Deuteronomy 28 and open its eyes to the truth of many things that is going on in this country!!!!

I think as long as they were all consenting adults, who cares. Why not let them make there own decisions.

This sort of thing would never happen at Purdue. What is going on in Bloomington?

With all the underage drinking and narcotics use at I.U., why is anyone worried about a porno movie?

When this popped up on a national blog earlier this morning, my first thought was something like: Why do they get to have all the fun down the road in Bloomington?

After a bit more reflection, my second thought was more like: I wonder how many of those kids took the time to consider just where those Shane's World actresses' body parts had been prior to the halls of an IU dorm? Ewwwwww.

Of course, the whole thing is rather humorous, and will immediately polarize into two opposing camps, one of which we have far too much of (IMHO) in good old Indiana.

And, then, my last thought was: This Shane's World thing seems popular. I wonder if I can pick up the traveling condom concession as they tour the country? Hmmm...

They are adults and this is America. We are free to do anything non-violent and legal that we want to in our privacy. A dorm room, like an apartment or home, is private to us. These students did nothing wrong. If however, there is a contract with the university that forbids this specific activity, then the student who signed that contract needs to answer to a court on if they violated the contract.

Otherwise, leave them alone and let them enjoy their freedoms.

I don't believe that this is a very big issue, it occured on Oct. 3 and it is into Nov. now and needs no more attention. I don't believe that this incident will hurt IU image, and I don't think that the students involved should be punished. They will have to live with the thought of it and that is penalty enough for them.

Geez, it's not like IU came out and said, "Hey, we agree with the 'Princeton Review,' come to our school and PARTY!!!"

You should get your facts straight.

IU was deemed the No. 1 party school by an independent source with no endorsement by the university. And many many many press realeases were issued after that article from IU defending itself as a legitimate institution and NOT a "party school."

As for kicking out the film crew, it is completely within their rights to deny access to a privately owned dormitory. If the film crew didn't have permission to be there from the university - no go. They should have just built a set to LOOK like a dorm room.

Double standard? I suggest you check your facts before getting YOUR "moral" panties in a wad.

amen! it's not like the company just barged in and said, "we're taping." besides, being a former iu student myself, i can tell you crazier stuff happens WITHOUT the film crews.
