Should Marion County prosecutor Carl Brizzi be forced to give up his interest in a restaurant/bar in downtown Indianapolis?

I see where the Prosecutor can`t wait to get back in the booze business. He says it is good for the city. Who is he kidding? Did you ever see a booze hall that was good for anything except trouble. Whether it is a fight or a wreck on the road. I guess it`s good for business. It can produce the need for more police officers, firefighters, medics, lawyers etc. Is that the kind of people you want in office? Is that good for the city?

What a stupid Law! Does this Law pertain to Marion County Only? I hope so, cause I know plenty of Law Enforcement Officers, Lawyers and Judges In Morgan County who own Restaurant/Bar Businesses. And no one around here is complaining! Plus a few of my Police friends in Indy are part owners of strip clubs. If this is a State Law, that means alot of Business owners are gonna be hurting. I say leave brizzi alone, He's a business man. No Law Enforcement Personell Can Survive on their salaries alone, Cause of Mitch "The ****" Daniels Cut and Run On Their Raises, To Benefit his Salary....

A Marion County Prosecutor who is part owner of a business in Marion Co. Huh? What was he thinking? Lets just say the business gets in legal trouble that wasn't a federal crime, who would take that case. Ohh yes his own office. And he thought this was a good choice? So who would he protect his investment or his title? My answer is no!!!!

I think the question now should be to who he sold the stock? Could it be another family member using their name on the stock where he would still reap any rewards? In his position it's obvious he would know it was illegal, just didn't think it would go public. He probably knows all the loopholes as mentioned above to keep his money invested.

What brain wrote this law? If he has a conflict of interest, he should recuse himself from the case instead.
... but life is a dirty trick ...

Of course he should be forced to give up his interest!! The law states that an officer of the law is not allowed to own interest in a bar that serves liquor! Why? Conflict of interest, when getting approved for a liquor license! Duh! Not surprised a prosecutor is violating the law either!! Duh!

No, he should not be allowed to be part owner of the bar. Personally, I think it's a stupid "rule" that a law enforcement official can't be involved in ownership of a place that sells alcohol. BUT, rules are rules, and he's one of those that enforces the rules.

No, he should not be allowed to get the lic. I also think that there really should be some thought as to how the money was made to be part owner. He just last year had to give himself a raise and now he is part owner in a bar? I think that there has been something going on besides Prosecuting. If he would spend more time doing his job he would know the laws about liquor lic.
