You2TV is a group of kiosks around Houston where people can speak their mind and be seen on Channel 2. It's one of the ways that we hope our audience will interact with us and our viewers.

So, we'd love to hear your opinions and your suggestions for You2TV topics. Former questions include "what would you do if you were mayor for a day?" and "Houston is a great city, how would you make it better?" Tell us your ideas -- make your voice heard!

My question would be, " Do you believe that George W. Bush is going after Hussein because he's a bad man, or is it because Saddam tried to have his father, George Sr., killed in '94 " ?

I think the price of parking in the medical center is an outright CRIME. I've seen people arrive for madical care that probably can't afford the doctor bill, much less the parking. I've been in the medical center for a doctor's appointment and the parking fee was more money than my co-payment! It appears to me that the parking lot owners are horribly greedy. I think it's highway robbery to have to pay what those crooks are charging. The city ought to do something about the cost. I'm not saying it should be free, but I think they should at least cut the cost in half. It's shameful!

Try this on for size. The other day I found a dead Blue Jay at my backdoor. I called mosquito control to inform them. I was told that because the West Nile Virus was already confirmed in my area that I should dispose of the possibly infected bird myself. After explaining that I have a very poor imune system and was afraid of the possibility of being infected I was told that they may come pick it up but it would possibly take up to 24hours. Its been a week now! No one has come by or even called. In the news they have declaired a state of emergency in Louisiana. I think maybe Houston is being a bit lacked on this thing. How many people have to die from this thing? Its a bad virus but hey pick up your own dead birds!!!!!

With the recent dicovery of two fetuses left abandoned in the Houston area, I have taken it upon myself to help in resolving this epidemic. I believe the key starting point is education. The education of sex, sexual responsibility, and if one is to become faced with an unwanted pregnancy, they should be aware of their choices. This should apply to all walks of life, ages, and men and women. Unwanted pregnancies do not target a specific category of people, as a matter of fact, the vast majority of women abandoning their babies come from middle class, educated, and nurtured homes. Parents should not rely one hundred percent on the public/private schools to educate their children of sexual reproduction, sexual responsibility, or what to do if they do become pregnant. We as parents can not turn the cheek and be so naive that our future is not going to have sexual relations until they are responsible adults. This is where our problems start. We must accept the fact that when we have children, we will be hitting many potholes down the road of parenthood. If we are more open to our kids about sex, they are more likely to present questions or problems they are facing instead of trying to handle the situation(s) on their own. This can be life threatening. We must make people aware of their choice when faced with an unwanted pregnancy. I do not promote abortion. However, I do not judge those who take that choice. I do promote the Safe Haven Law enacted in 1999. This law protects mothers who choose to leave their baby/babies at designated establishments such as fire department or hospital without facing prosecution. No questions asked. Many people oppose this law. Personally, I think it is a big step compared to leaving the child to die in a dumpster, public bathroom, or back alley. This is a life we are talking about, not an inanimate object. If we do not educate people and our children more about sex, sexual responsibility, and what to do if they are ever faced in this dilemma, we will only be facing more of these tradegies in the years to come. It is wrong to say that these are unwanted babies. They are wanted by thousands of people who are willing to adopt them. There are women out there who can not have children and there are people out there who can but are still willing to give a chil(ren) a second chance. We must make pregnant mothers aware that they will feel much better about leaving a baby in the hands of a responsible adult than leaving the helpless child to die. No questions asked.

I am a mother of two beautiful girls (5 and one year). I know it is hard and I had the support of a husband and family. I also know how much a baby depends on their mothers or an adult. I know they feel pain and that they can hurt. I can not even begin to imagine the trauma they go through when abandoned. It hurts me to know that in this country there are babies abandoned and left to die every day. We can begin to stop this plague and just as we would stop prejudice behaviour we would stop child abandonment . . . by educating people.

I am adopted. In my heart and mind, I thank my birth mother nearly everyday for making the choice she did. She gave me a second chance. I was given a wonderful home, life, and the opportunity to have my own children. There are too many children out there who are deprived of this. It must stop.

My mother always told me that I can not save the world. I replied, "It does not hurt to try."

I would like to receive any information on homes, clinics, organizations that support this Safe Haven Law and help pregnant mothers and abandoned babies. I have not found many searching the web. My family and I would like to give our time in helping those who need it. I personally would like to help any expecting mothers with their pregnancy and labor support. In between work and family, I am currently training to become a Doula. After receiving my certification, I would like to continue volunteering my services to mothers in need.

Truly yours, Laura Strothers

If this is the "Space City" where are the Sci Fi Conventions. Why is Texas so left out of more "Space" topics and conventions then the rest of the world? I like the rest of Texas is WAITING for a Star Trek Convention to come here, a BIG Annual one, but we haven't seen one in YEARS!!!! The only state missing out on the fun and we originated from right here in our very own, "SPACE CITY" Houston.

Keep Reaching for the Stars, who knows you just might catch one!

I would like to hear more openions about traffic laws reguarding lanes that end, and why so many don't understand that the person with the extending road has the right of way, and those in the ending lane, must yeild, and merge into the other lane, not whip in front of others or try to race them to the end of the closing lane.
