Michelle Wie has taken the golfing world by storm. She bombs her drives past many men and still has a teenage smile.
Will she become the first woman to play regularly on the PGA tour?
Will she become the first woman to play in the Masters?
Will she be able to keep up the hectic schedule or burn out?

Congradulations Ms. Wie on obtaining your LPGA Tour Playing Card. "AS YOU SAID, YOU EARNED IT." I just hope that there is an LPGA Tour for you to play in a few years, with enough Money to make it worth it.
I hope see You and Kim Kim and Kono in a final group someday.
Good Luck. I am looking forward to you Web Site being completed and launched soon.
Merry Christmas and Great Success in the Future.

The Questions are still unanswered! Mostly because Ms. Wie is barely 19 years old. She has made cuts this year and thats what matters. She will most likely go to Q School this year and get her LPGA Card. She has exempt status in a few events because of prior performances. She Qualified for the Womens U.S. Open and if it had not been for 1 bad hole, might have made the cut. She has never won a Stroke Play Tourney in the U.S. but then again neither has Dean Wilson. Now that she is 19 way legal and has a friend helping her take care of business, I would expect her to do better and continue to recover from her injury. Also getting perhaps fewer people to tell her what she ought or ought not to do. She was a Natural and people just had to mess with that. People have always had to much expectation of her. She cracked under way to much uneeded pressure. She is playing now at a Mid LPGA pro level. With School and a Life that okay for right now. Its kind of like when the C Students makes it and the A Student flames out when the going gets hard. Because the C Student can take a hit, repeat a course and make it through. O'Well just part of life. The overachiver when that time comes along and it does. Has to learn how to do that, some can, some can't, Wie Can it will just take time. The Train has barely left the Station and it is a Long Journey.

Hitting it a fairway would be nice.
Will she become the first woman to play regularly on the PGA tour?
Will she be invited to play regularly on the LPGA tour?
Will she become the first woman to play in the Masters?
This question is a complete joke now!
Will she be able to keep up the hectic schedule or burn out?
Nike and Sony are hoping to recoup at least some of their investment.
This is a train wreck of epic proportions

This is just to make folks aware that their is a Web Site www.wietalk.com that does nothing but talk about Ms. Wie. There is nothing wrong with that, I am just pointing it out. Merry Christmas Ms Wie.

Maybe, just maybe it is the clubs. Maybe the clubs really do suck. She did an exemption the last time out and it was a No Cut event and she came in next to last and won just over $19,000 dollars. The exemption was based on her place in the event the year before. The event within the event. More money then some folks make in a year, and surely most teenagers. Had she not turned Pro and gone to Stanford and played Golf, I do not think it would have gsined her much. Also Chun might not have the spot she has on the Stanford Team. I can see how the hype and over expectation might have hurt her and I am sure she is/was spun around like a top on a daily basis. I don't see the harm done in the PGA events but I am against Gender seperation in some sports anyway, Golf is first in that regard. I think the top five or even 10 on the LPGA Money List should get their PGA Card. Expand the the spots out so the men are not hurt. Q School should be open to all. We could do that and just see what happens. I know that being to busy hurts. When I have one or two things I have to do and people then make the list 10 or 12. I usually flame out and due squat, not even the first one or two things. Then I try again one or two days later, or just do what I intended to do and nothing more.

Sadly, very few people understand the real "tragedy to date" swirling around Michelle Wie. Her journey is not just about her being a "golfing phenom". It's also about how the adult world has, to date, failed to help bring about the hopes and dreams of a child who wants to be the best golfer she is capable of being. To date, some of the adult goals and dreams have been realized. Capitalizing on her golfing prowess noticed early on in her life, the key adults congregating around her seized the multiple opportunities to gain fame and money for themselves. Using marketing and other promotional "hype", cannibalizing her on the men's circuit, and trying to separate her from the other skilled young female players by having her become the "Tiger Woods" of the LPGA, etc. etc.; has, in my opinion, overwhelmed a young girl's mind and emotions, to the point of dangerously crippling her in the future. I have followed Michelle for sometime because I want to see her succeed, but am very concerned that when she is publicly interviewed, there is no sign that she understands that she has to admit that maybe she's on the wrong track and that she must reassess "her path to success"; that is if the "adults" programming and controlling her will allow such to occur.
I suppose this is a long-winded way of saying I understand why her agent resigned, or "just gave up".
Aloha

Michelle Wie, finally 18 and legal. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE. I hope your game gets back togeather, that you obtain your education and find your real dream in life and go after that dream. Find what ignites the desire in your heart and the fire in your belly. Don't forget the toast and jelly. Or your soul. That you find a special friend and have much, much happyness. May the Trade Winds always be at your back blowing ever so gently. I am always a fan.

I tend to agree but its none of my bizzzness.I am a fan regardless and I feel the judgements put upon her by a few members of the media who can't break 80 on their best day, was and is unfair. Weather she is a success or not will make or shake the world about .00001 on a sacale of 1 to 10. Golf is very few peoples interest and fewer peoples world. It is a hard to learn expensive game that requires a lot of time, training and expensive stuff to be really really good. When my daughter wanted try out for the High School my Bank Account Cringed in protest. I would have had to gone into the Mission Fund. Thankfully walking a 6000 plus yard course one time quickly shifted her love back to News Writing for the School Paper. We hit a Bucket of Ball now in then just for somthing to do. Usually she wants to go to the Arcade and we get on side by side tanks and shoot stuff. Ms. Wie should above all be happy and meet someone she likes to be her special friend. She is a Freshmen in College and should enjoy that experence if at all possible.

Michelle is headed for a major burn out. What she needs to do is concentrate on her game in the LPGA. All this hype & talk about becoming a regular on PGA & playing in the Masters is not helping her at all. Playing in the men's golf tournaments was probably good public relations when she first came onto the golf scene. But now the time has come for her to pay her dues and make mark in the LPGA first. I no doubt that Michelle is a very talented and gifted young golfer. However, I feel her talent and goals are misdirected and she needs to refocus her goals to have a future in pro golf.
