Share your condolences and comments on the death of Madelyn Dunham, Sen. Barack Obama's grandmother. Dunham was one of the first female vice presidents of Bank of Hawaii.

I will also post the statements by the politicians and officials.

May God bless you Mrs Dunham and may God Bless, protect and guide you Mr President. My understanding is: Enron and Worldcom encouraged the Bin Larden family to invest Billions of Saudi/U.S. Dollars in Enron/Worldcom companies. The fraudulent and 'creative accounting' resulted in the theft of those billions of dollars.... Retaliation by the 'ripped off' investors resulted in the attack on the icons of fraud, i.e. the companies within the world trade centre buildings, (using civilian aircraft) The buildings were then 'dropped' by the U.S. state department, resulting in the death of 2500+ lives and the destruction of evidential documentation within building 7. "The war on terror is not to be won but sustained" because this will bring the maximum income (from interest on loans requested by the Bush administration) to the federal bank and the Argyle group who are selling arms and munitions to fuel the conflict which is now bankrupting the world!!! it's just my humble opinion,,,,,God Bless You Barack. in my way, I feel i have voted for you. kind regards rome. p.s. bet you don't post this one!

Way back in 1967, I came to work at the Main Office of the Bank of Hawaii, straight out of high school in Kailua. Although I didn't work in her area, I remember Mrs. Dunham well. She was a stict taskmaster, and well respected by all. I have been a strong proponent of President-elect Obama since I first learned about him, but I didn't make the connection between him and Mrs. Dunham until just recently. One can see in him the qualities of hard work, dedication, dignity, and decency that Mrs. Dunham personified. Now I live far away from Hawaii, but I took great pride this year in voting for the son of a respected kamaaina family. I just want to say Mahalo to Mrs. Dunham for the example she set for us all.

To the Obama family, We are so sorry for your loss. I know how much it hurts to lose a grandparent that had such an influence in your life. I was extremely close to my grandparents as well. I was so hurt when they both passed away just months apart. The good news!!! she is not suffering. She will be rejoicing in your victory... Our prayers and sympathy is with you and yours... aloha...
