This is a 62 1/2 year Old Person of Color Talking who grew up raised by a single Male Parent in New England in the 1950's and Early 60's.

When I was a child White People and a few Colored People that we knew. Remember now this is the 50's lots of Stereotyping, and a whole lot of Stigma over anything and everything a little different. The B Ward being used freely on Children born out of Wedlock and Worse on Mixed Race Children, any Mixed Race would Do but Black Mostly.

This is what was some times said by family members.

To my Mother. You can come for Christmas but leave the N Word and the Little B Word at home.

Then you would hear within your range of hearing. " what is a mixed blood child supposed to do what will become of them, which race will take them, what does he/she (twice as bad). look like most. What is there hair like, do they have good hair, (No Kinks). Can they Pass!! How will they get an Education and who will they Marry and what about their kids and the suffering that they will go through. Now most of these people are long dead.

I now have an answer to the above Questions, Statements, and Wonderments. About what would Black and Mixed Raced Kids ever do.

He is Born of a White Mother, and Black Father, He is raised by his White Grandparents. He goes to the Best School on the Island. He goes to Harvard. He Marries a Lovely, Strong Educated Black Women. They have two girls who look just fine and can pass for Black any day of the Week and have real nice Hair. In the Fullness of time he is accepted by many people of all races.

And. HE BECOMES PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. and does it in MY LIFE time.
