Students and campus officials are reacting to news that three Guilford College students are free on bond after authorities accused them of beating three Palestinian students. What are your thoughts on the story? Share them with other WXII 12 News viewers.

Please somebody explain.... Since the Greensboro Police and the FBI have been unable to speak with the 3 Palestinian students, how is it then that players continue to be arrested? I am not sure I understand how this works- Is anybody?

I personally think that there are three sides to every story. The accused side, the victims side and then there is the truth as to what really happened. It is in human nature to to make the story look favorable to the one telling their side. My question is why race has to be a part of every news story. This only instagates racism. I know we have a long way to go before everyone is treated equally in America. Why does the media not focus on the the healing side of racism. Everyone takes what the media reports about any story and judges the accused and the victims before either has a chance to plead their case in court. If you were not there, who are you to judge either side until you have heard all the evidence.

I too am satisfied by the way Guilford College is handling this situation. I am saddened though with the faculty member that chose to use this incident to boost their own "hidden agenda"

Well now, how original? Frankly, you sound like you need to take a toke or two pal.

I had the privilege to meet 2 Palestinians some time ago, who were interested in renting a room in my "share-house" arrangement.

I asked these two unsmiling, hostile young men, who were both bigger than me, where they were from and they said "Palestine." I said, "Oh, Isreal?" and the constant frowns became glowers, and one declared, "NO, Palestine!" They pushed into my house without being invited in and demanded, "Where is the room?"

They looked disparagingly at the room for a few seconds, then one of them threw $50 into my hand, saying "I don't like this room, but you will hold it for me, until I find something better." Then they marched out, to continue to look for other rooms. They were so hostile and intimidating, that I was trembling, and I decided, although I needed the money, that I would not rent to them. This was the first and only time I would reject anyone. I had Korean, Chinese, Ethiopians, Thais, Africans from Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana, etc., stay previously at my house. I actually preferred foreigners.

When I saw their car return (they were obviously unsuccessful in their search), I opened the door and yelled at them to stay off my property. I told the less-insane one to come to the door and I would give him his $50 back. He said they wanted my room. I said it wouldn't work out.

The other man yelled at me that the reason I was rejecting them was because I was a "racist." I told them I would call the police if they stayed on my property. They left, no doubt cursing the racist infidel.

It is obvious to me (because of AP's lack of coverage of both sides of the incident) that these Palestinians at Guilford probably provoked this incident, and are now seeking to take full advantage of ther many laws regarding what is racism and what is not. Rather than report the incident to the police, as they should have if they were really interested in justice, they are carefully coordinating their stories with the help of the racist, anti-Anerican lawyers from CAIR, and relying on the left-wing media to lie, omit facts and create an imaginery atmosphere of intolerance. Why in God's name does the US allow this kind of immigrant? These people contain a *bottomless* reservoir of hatred toward most Americans.

I'm having a hard time believing any of the claims of the alleged "victims" in this case. Faris Kahder's lawyer states that Faris whipped Michael Six with a belt in self defense. However, he first says that Faris was attacked by numerous people, beaten with brass knuckles, and thrown to the ground. Now how does someone who has taken such a vicious beating get the strength to stand up, remove his belt, and repeatedly whip a tall, strong football player? It seems that the process of events was very different then what is being reported. I also must comment that we see from the photos that Michael Six sustained the injuries on his back. If he was the aggressor, wouldn't those injuries be on the front side of his body? I hope that in the future WXII will take care to provide more fair and balanced reporting. And as the parents of Bates, Six, and Barnette stated, I am sure WXII will be rightfully embarrassed when the true facts of this case are revealed.

I too commend the adminstration for waiting to make a judgment on this case - that is, after all, a vital part of justice. Though the students would have the athletes strung up on heresay, I'm glad to see that the adults are still in charge. Question - were the students at Guilford this upset when Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar purposely drove his car into a crowd of people at UNC-Chapel Hill? I am a student at Guilford and no one walked out of class then.

I have to praise school officials for trying to make sure the people responsibly for this attack are the ones that should be punished. If anyone has been paying attention to the accounts as to what has happened they do not add up. And not to take any one side but the one Palenstinian said 20-30 people attacked him. He has even posted his story on his Facebook account. My question is if you are attacked by that many people how do you not come out serverly beaten and how do you determine that 3 people did it and what weapons, if any, they had. If a football that is well built and lift weights uses brass knuckles would the Palestinians not be seriously hurt. I have to say I am not taken sides there are two sides to every story. And we have yet to hear from the players. I will point out that at least two people have said that one of the players was attacked with a belt but the worst of the fight had not started. So if he was attacked should he just walk away or should he not stand up for himself. Most parents teach their children to stand up for them selves and what is right. Who is to say that these three charged was not trying to stop the fight? But the students all seem to be dividing the student body by athletes and non-athletes. Is this not a forum of racism? I would have to say yes. It is not just about the color of your skin but something you?re a part of or participate in. My greatest concern is if these three charged are found not guilty of all charges and the truth comes out. Students or other people will still punish them or treat them differently. This will not just stay with them through college but throughout the rest of their lives. Which is not right and especially if someone does not tell the whole truth. Or if they where just singled out because someone there did not like them or like the fact that they play football. Those players have worked just as hard as others to be there and have rules that they must follow. Sometimes the rules are harder on them then on the rest of the students. They must also balance training and schooling. My biggest disappointment is the student body. For not given the proper officials time to get to the truth and for already assuming these players are guilty.

I agree with waiting on facts. In my post I sounded like I have already convicted those charged. I apologize for that. It comes from simple outrage over the peace of our Guilford community being disturbed by violence, and the way that this story has been unjustly and unfairly reported. Like I said, we will rise. Peace.
