Pat Robertson suggested this week that a stroke is Israeli leader Ariel Sharon's punishment for pulling out of Gaza and "dividing God's land." What do you think of his comments?

Pat Robertson had to offer his apologies to Israel. He has realized his error again. But, is he going to learn from the mistake? Chances are null to void.

Here are some responses from nationally known leaders - I wish that this side of the story would receive as much publicity as Robertson's comments...

"I'm appalled that Pat Robertson would make such statements. He ought to know better.... The arrogance of the statement shocks me almost as much as the insensitivity of it. He speaks for an ever-diminishing number of evangelicals, and with each episode like this the rate of diminishment accelerates." - Richard Land, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention -------- "I know hundreds of people who are just terminally frustrated with the idiotic public statements of Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, and the idea that these people represent us. They don't." - Evangelical author and social commentator Os Guinness -------- "Pat's comments were most unfortunate. I don't think this served our cause very well." - Donald Wildmon, head of American Family Association

I dont believe I was judging Pat Robertson. I was ask to make a comment about what was said. It does not matter to me who said it, I don't question anyone's faith, nor should they question mine. But,If he believe's God Caused Mr.Sharon to have a stroke, then I guess Dick Clark did something wrong too. My goodness, Mr. Sharon is 77 years old, overweight, and under alot of stress. I think Mr. Sharon caused, his own illness. But, I do believe God has the power to strike anyone down for whatever reason at anytime......so, I don't blame God for anything, I just praise him and thank him for letting me live another day.

YOU ALL NEED TO READ THE BIBLE. YOU ALL TALK ABOUT JUDGING. LOOK IN THE MIRROR

I think Pat Robertson has a right to his opinion just like any one else. After all we all have our opinions about a lot of subjects some are baste on fact and some not. That is why we live in a free country.

Robertson's comments demonstrate once again that his mental reasoning is anything but reasonable, and the kindest response that the media and public can offer is to ignore him and not allocate precious news time to such non-productive and ignorant rants.

In my opinion!

Whether or not Sharons stroke is from God is not for an idiot like Pat Robertson to say. Robertson is a liar and a false teacher. He has become wealthy by conning his viewers while there are thousands around him needing medical attention, food, and shelter. I am sure he donates to some, so he can say he does help. He built his flying hospital, (paid for by his followers), and his own personal pilot confessed he first used it to fly to Africa to tend to business at his "diamond mines". I do not beleive Robertson is a man of God, so he would have no knowledge of what God is doing or is not doing. I know what the scriptures say about not giving away or selling Eretz Yisrael, and Sharons illness may be from God. But Pat "The Con Man" Robertson sure has no revelation of the matter!

I believe Pat Robertson should be smart enough to keep such controversial thoughts to himself. But what really offends me is the extent to which WXII12 is willing to exploit only Pat Robertson and other conservatives wild statements yet has no visible reaction to the wild comments of Dick Durbin (troops are Nazis), Louis Farrahakahn (Bush blew up the levee), Harry Reid (Bush is a loser and a liar)etc. If channel 12 spent even a fraction of the outrage at similar comments from the left, it might be considered evenhanded. Pat Robertson is nothing compared to the national shame most Americans feel towards the ill-tempered, hate-mongers on the Democratic left.

I think he should be weary of putting the wrath of God on Ariel Sharon. Who is he to judge. As said in the Bible he who be without sin cast the first stone. God intended us all to llive as one not subdivided into sections.

I think Rev. Robertson should go back and read from the New Testament, "Judge not that ye be not judged".

Sincerely
