Sadly, I was wide awake in Easley, and I didn't hear or feel a thing when the quake hit. But a lot of you did! Tell us where you were and what you saw, heard and felt!

Yep. I live on Pelham Rd. near I-85. My boyfriend and I were watching TV when we felt a rumble. I assumed it was a plane flying very low, but my boyfriend immediately said, "Was that an earthquake?" I said, "Surely not," and that was the end of the discussion. The next morning he sent me a text message to let me know it was actually a quake. It's amazing how accustomed you get to certain sounds and certain weather. An earthquake never entered my mind but he realized immediately that something was different.

YES!!! I can still hardly believe that's what it was. My husband and I had just gone to bed. I heard something rumbling but thought it was just an airplane (we live in Greer, near the intersections of Wade Hampton & Hwy 14). Then the windows began rattling and the whole house shook. I asked my husband, "What was that?" He had already drifted off and didn't feel anything. I figured a jet was coming in very low to the airport. I haven't thought another thing about it. My 10 year old son came home from school today asking if I'd heard about the earthquake, so I logged on to your website. WOW! I never believed something like that would happen around here!

I felt the earth quake at 11:10 pm. I have felt these before but not that strong. My computer desk rocked and the pictures and glassware shook. It also caused a huge dead limb to fall from one of our oak trees. I live in Spartanburg Co. in Moore SC. Are we in the falk lines?

YES! Hubby was letting the dogs in for the night as he noticed the vibration & dogs were frightened wanting inside like when it thunders. I was playing a game on the computer in my office when I heard/felt the flagpole on front of house vibrate & thought it was windy outside. Cat got up and jumped down to hide. We live in RIVER BLUFF near Table Rock Mtn. above Hwy 11 in Pickens County near Aunt Sue's Country Corner

Yes I did. I was watching TV on my Lazy Boy when the tremor started. I thought it was my 125 lb dog scratching next to me. I noticed she was not there. I did not pay attention to it, I thought it was my imagination.

Yes, I felt the quake last night. I was lying on my bed reading the Bible on my side. I felt my body move and thought to myself I shouldn't be moving and then I paused for another moment as the quake got stronger and immediately knew that it was an earthquake. Writing from Fort Mill, SC
