So, Dana Altman leaves Creighton to become the new Arkansas basketball coach and then decides to return to Omaha a day later. Were you surprised by this news? Were you surprised by the decision to hire Altman in the first place? To whom should the Hogs turn now?

Get off the Broyles bashing. Take a look around and see what he has done for Arkansas and the Razorbacks. You folks need to do some history and see what was here before Broyles arrived--pretty much nothing. Sure he meddles--that is part of being Athletic Director. Sure he has made mistakes--we all do. But take a deep breath and think back to what was here before--not much. If Altman didn't want to be here then fine. We will find someone who does. And leave the Nutt bashing to a proper forum--amazing how a forum concerning basketball gets twisted to a general bashing of Broyles and Nutt. Heath deserved to be fired and he was. Sure he was a nice guy--still is and always will be. But he was not a good coach.

I don't know how you can fault Frank Broyles for a change of heart on Altman's part, but... I heard that Frank and Houston have been linked to a suspicious Tsunami in the South Pacific......

I feel that Dana Altman was right in returning to his home state. The two basketball players with the marijuana charges should be suspended. If found guilty in court should be removed from the sports program, lose all scholarships they have and sent to jail. "Coach Broyles" should be removed from his office(fired) if he knew about the charges and let the two players continue in sports. If the player suspended for grades can't get them back to what is required, he should be removed also and lose his scholarship.
There should be no leniency allowed or tolerated especially where the LAW is concerned!

In my opinion we have a very good Basketball coach that seems to want this job. Why not give Majeris a chance?? The ultimate deal would be to hire Bob Knight as A. D. and let him clean house and get some discipline in our coaches & teams...

THE BROYLES CURSE STRIKES AGAIN. MUST WE BE PUT THROUGH ALL OF THIS UNTIL JANUARY. GET RID OF HIM NOW. PEOPLE MIGHT LINE UP FOR THE JOB IF BROYLES IS ESCORTED OUT, I'LL HOLD THE DOOR OPEN FOR HIM. IS HE PURPOSELY TRYING TO SCREWW UP THE SPORTS PROGRAM AT U OF A BEFORE HE LEAVES? THE HOGS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TURN TO A BIG NAME UNTIL THE TRASH IS EMPTIED AT THE TOP. THE PROGRAMS ARE BEING HURT BECAUSE THE BOARD IS BEING TOO NICE TO A HAS BEEN.

There is so much chaos at the U of A. Our basketball program is in trouble and now new things are coming up about Coach Nutt. We are going to very lucky to get a good coach. We should go get Stan Heath back and offer him 2 million. We need a new AD that will clean house (please leave our baseball coach and track coach alone). I would like to offer my self for the job of being the basketball coach. Coach Broyles please call me or e-mail .

All this talk about Huston Nutt. It IS in Houston Nutt's contract that he gets the Athletic Director position when Broyles retires. I used to work in HR at the UofA...I HAVE seen the contract.

This is just what needed to happen at the UofA,and it needs to drag on all summer. Frank Broyles has brought this on Arkansas and has been treated like a KING,and praised for all his wisdom and honesty and caring for Arkansas sports and the state. All he cares about is FRANK BROYLES and his chosen one HOUSTON NUTT. Does anyone really think that he is going to retire December 31? He is not going anywhere, he will still be there pulling the strings and causing trouble . Now that the Media is on the University real heavy maybe they will stay until Houston Nutt messes up in the fall and we can have another round of FRANK,s coverups and lies. This basketball coach mess should never have taken place, FRANK should,ve left Coach Heath alone, but then again King FRANK doesn,t want integrity on the hill.My suggestion for the new coach FRANK BROYLES, he is so smart in these things . Maybe he will be able to get the Championship here in 5 years, come on FRANK show us what you got.

I am so surprised to see that very few are blameing Altman..you could tell by the expressions on his face as well as his wifes that they were not happy with his choice the moment they arrived...I wasn't impressed with his reaction when announcing him being head coach for Arkansas..he seemed to have already made up his mind before the announcement but didn't know what to do...to blame someone else is stupid..Altman knew what was going on with the players before deciding to take the job..All I see is a 48 year old man that can't make up his mind on anything...saying money was not an issue while in Arkansas and then at his home saying family and money was an issue..the guy is WEIRD..who needs him...Arkansas deserves the best and he would have done nothing but bring it down..crying about being homesick...he needs to grow up and stop bring others into his crazy messed up mind...
