After printing thousands of student directories, officials at The Ohio State University have decided that they do not want the an advertisement for an adult nightclub attached to their publication. Now the advertisement is being ripped out of all printed copies more directories are distributed. Share your thoughts on this story.

It's also not fair to the nightclub...if the page is ripped out, they could lose buisness alos...they probably paid for that spot....its just a strip club..GET OVER IT. If you drive on 71 or 70 or 270 you see them anyways...and all college kids are of age so i don't see the big deal. It's just some women trying to make some money!

Seems ridiculous to rip it out of existing copies ...why not just wait until the next issue, whenever ????????? Also, why try to legislate morality at OSU when these 'kids' are gonna do whatever they like anyway.

SRAM looks like you were wrong about MS. Holbrook and the OSU riots. Maybe she should pay a lot more attention to the folks trying to burn down Columbus between 11th and 17th avenue and let the people's morality worry about whether they want to start doing table dances...

Who cares! Leave the Ad in the directory! Some students aren't fortunate enough to have mommy and daddy pay for their school, and don't receive financial aid to help out either! They are all adults, if they were going to do something like this anyway, I bet that the Ad did not help them make their decision!!!

Now that the ad has been printed and distributed, it seems rather silly to go around ripping it out of the existing directories. Don't you suppose that students and others who think the blunder is funny have already made photocopies of the pages? Next year, the administration should be more careful about what is accepted for advertising. This year, whatever damage will be done has been done.

I think that they knew what was being printed in that ad when they printed that advertisement. Someone should have alerted officals when the advertisement was first noticed. I think that the ad should be pulled. We shouldn't allow that kind of advertisement in school directories. Leave it to word-of mouth or to be printed in the newspaper. At least then we can burn it if we like!!!

OSU needs to live with the mistake they made. Tearing out the ad for the strip club is a terrible way to "fix" this problem. It is not fair to the advertisers (on that page, and on the back of that page) to lose potential business because someone at OSU can't proof read. I realize that OSU is paying back advertising dollars spent by these companies, but they wouldn't have to if they just admitted the mistake, and never made it again in future issues. Also, is OSU just hiding thier heads in the dirt when they think that co-eds don't make pretty good money for school by VOLUNTERILY dancing in these clubs? Wake up OSU.

Sincerely,

The Wrath
