What do you think of the anti-illegal immigration billboards? Do you like them or do they make you mad? Do you think they will be effective in raising awareness? Are they sending the wrong message?

The billboards are well within the right to free speech...However, I think they are sending the wrong message. This type of "IN your Face" advertising will only solidify opinion Against your cause.

I love the "Signs"; Signs send better messages than our voices. Why would signs be racist? Racist is being against a race like color. Illegal is a definition of no being legal. We are suppose to be againist anyone who is doing anything illegal. Coming without documents, taking jobs without proper documents & Identity Theft are all Illegal actions. What is so RACIST with the word ILLEGAl. These signs just warn people United States Citizens do not tolerate ILLEGAL ACTIONS. So I love the Signs they make me happy, they speak for me at least.

I do not understand what the aclu has to do with illegals It was form to protect us citizens right not citizens of other country. If illegals have the same right as Us. Why pay taxes. What benifit is it to be a US citizen John

I don't think these billboards are productive, after all we are all immigrants. People coming here from Mexico are only trying to better their lives for themselves and their families. Let's help those that want to become U.S. citizens to achieve their goal and stop the racist campaign against immigrants.

I like the boards very much. It shows that there are many who died to enable us to have the freedom of speech. It also gets the Anti-Illegal immigration message out for more than just a short blurb on the News, while they cover the "ILLEGALS" protests and marches for days. Many of the immigrants that came here "LEGALLY" served in our armed forces and fought for the country that they adopted. It shows that there is much respect for this country and its' laws. The "ILLEGALLS" are only thumbing their collective noses at those who are native citizens and "legal immigrants". If we allow the "ILLEGALS" to have a "free pass", what is this telling the immigrants who suffered many hardships to get here legally. Many of which had to apply more than once to get in. Now we tell are to tell them their struggles were in vain. Now that there are so many "ILLEGALS" here, that we need to give them more than those who came here legally.
Some of my family have been here since before the Europeans set foot here, and some came after, but they all came with regards to the laws at the time. All of the "ILLEGALS" getting everything handed to them is like a slap in the face to those law-abiding immigrants.

I feel awareness needs to be raised and a united voice given to opposing illegal immigration. Write or call your United State Congressman and Senators. This country only has so many resources and unfortunately they will soon be exhausted

I'm all for the signs, as well as stopping all the free services. I'm retired military and can not use the VA hospital. Illegal Immigrants walk into hospitals in Denver and demand service for free. Most people will say this is raciest. I thought being raciest was to be against a race or several races. WHEN did ILLEGAL Immigrant become a race? For those of you that don?t understand the English word ?Sanctuary? according to dictionary.com ?A sacred place, such as a church, in which fugitives formerly were immune to arrest. Immunity to arrest afforded by a sanctuary.? Denver is a Sanctuary City where illegal immigrants get free services on demand in their language, are not upheld to the same laws as a citizen, such as traffic laws. They can even commit Identity theft and not go to jail for it. If I stole your identity I would be in jail for many years, but that?s because I?m a citizen of the great United States of America

I agree with the signs. I also agree with the citizens of the US that are of Hispanic decent that they are being lumped into a category of "wetbacks" and are upset. They are not and should not be called that. The illegals are causing problems for most of us. In many jobs, even the entry level jobs like fast food, you must be able to speak fluent Spanish. When I go to Mexico I do not expect people to speak English and limp along on my poor Spanish. I am a visitor but if I lived there I would learn the language. I would also make sure all paper work was filled out and I paid my taxes and obeyed their laws. This are simple rules that the illegals are not following. Our country has not sacraficed its men and women so a bunch of illegals could come to our country and demand full rights as US citizens, even to the point that many are voting with fake ID's. Until the Mexican people decide to get a decent government, cultivate business and quit taking the easy way out there is very little we as US citizens can do except try to plug the holes in the border and make it easier for the US to send people that are breaking the law back to the country they came from.

I am for the billboards. My mother came from India and she did it legally by applying for citizenship. That is what I feel the illegals should do. I do not think that we should have to support any illegal alien with our hard earned money. And for the government to expect us to do that is wrong. Maybe if the politicians used part of their salary's for the medical, the schooling, the housing that the Illegal aliens are taking advantage of, they would get off their butts and realize it is not right to expect your hardworking American to do that. They are taking away the jobs we all held when we were in school, when we just graduated.. And to say that the Americans won't do those jobs is just ignorant on the illegals part. They did them before and they will do them again.. The company's hiring them should be severly punished also.. The billboards should stay...
