As many of your know, our beloved colleague and friend, Pam Daale, passed away on April 4, 2004 following a courageous battle with breast cancer. We're looking for people who met Pam, or people who knew of her, who want to share their thoughts on her life and what they remember most about her.

I met Pam in 1985 at Texas A&M. Today I was discarding some old things and came accross some old writings and the mention of Pam's name. So I did a Google search (I knew she would be famous)and only now have heard the news of her wonderful life and tragic passing.
I will always remember meeting Pam (the first time) in the O&M Buiding as she came wheeling into the office I had been standing in. I was fortunate enough to meet her and spend a little time with her. I took her conoeing down the Guadelupe River and we had a wonderful time. I remember at the bottom of the river us getting onto the bus for the trip back and me stepping up with her in my arms and somehow making that step. She invited me to her Church once and I remember that service remarkably. Pam is and was a beautiful and wonderful person and woman. My very best and kindest regards to her family and her husband and children. God Bless her soul.

What an honor. I had the opportunity to meet Pam in 1999 when my husband and I organized a Hot Air Balloon Festival in Winter Park. We invited Pam and her family to fly in a incrediable wheelchair balloon named Serenas Song. It came all the way from Iowa for that special day. I remember seeing her smile as she went up that morning. She was and incrediable women and will never be forgotten.

I personally did not know Pam. However, I moved to Denver in 1995 to attend school and Pam became one of my favorite meteorologists. Her warm personality and caring on air presence made me feel like I had known her for years. I moved away from Denver after 4 years. I later moved back to Nebraska and was able to receive 7News on a cable service I subscribed to. Pam once again became a favorite on-air personality of mine. I am deeply saddened and will miss her presence on the air. My heart goes out to her family that is left behind. Although I cannot say I know exactly what they are experiencing, I do share in some of their pain. The very same day Pam passed away, my stepfather of nearly 20 years who I loved deeply passed away too. Like Pam, he fought a couragious battle with cancer but eventually succumbed to it. Now that is nearly 4 months since their passing, while some of the pain is lessened, I still miss my step father very much and I'm sure the same is true for Pam's family. Please know my prayers are with all of you including her friends and colleagues at Channel 7. I hope and pray a cure can be found sometime soon for such a terrible disease.
Sincerely, Tony Serbousek

My husband and I were brought to tears when we heard that Pam had died. We felt like Pam was a dear friend as we had a daughter who used a wheelchair. Our daughter died last year and we are hopeful that when she saw Pam enter heaven that she introduced herself and told her what joy she brought our family done on earth. Our prayers are with her husband and children.

My thoughts are with the family and friends of Pam Daale. I am so sorry for her husband and children. I pray that God will ease your pain and give you strength during this very hard time. Pam was a Trooper and an inspiration to all women.

We've been out of the country for spring break and I didn't know about her death until I read an editorial in the News this morning. I immediately started crying, and I never cry for people I haven't met. I remember my husband pointing her out on the newscast years ago and asking me if I noticed anything unique. It took a while before I realized she was in a wheelchair. From that day on, I have watched only 7 News. She was always so professional, yet warm; intelligent, but down-to-earth. She was so strong and courageous and an inspiration to all of us who have not had the trials and obstacles she did. I will really miss her. We have all been so fortunate to have her in our community and in our lives.

I only met Pam last year when I got involved with Parker's first Relay for Life, Pam was our honorary Survivor Event Chair. We even spoke about a month ago about her doing it again this year. This year, we will now be dedicating the Relay to Pam, she was such an inspiration to the other survivors that were there and to myself. We will sorely miss her cheery voice and ever present smile.

I cannot understand why Pam had to be taken so young from her husband and children. Such a wonderful person, with so much to give and enjoy. This is so very sad, but at the same time, what a life well-lived.

I knew Pam at Texas A&M while we were studying Meteorology. She was always smiling and never let her handicap hinder her love for Jesus and life. My fondest memories were when she would hang onto my backpack and allowed me to tow her behind my bicycle as we traveled across the A&M campus. I will see you again Pam in Glory.
