Dear Maupin family, My heart and prayers go out to all of you in dealing with your loss. My own son is in the Air Force and has served in Iraq. Although he has returned home safely, I can empathize to the fear and pain you have experienced. I have been wearing an MIA/POW bracelet for Matt since 2005. Now that he is home I would like to send it to you, if you would like to have it. Please let me know what you would like to do. irish49_az1@yahoo.com Thank you for having such a wonderful, brave son. Bless you, Marsha Graff

I have been following your story since the beginning and my heart goes out to all of you. I just bought a bracelet in support of Matt and will wear it proudly and continue to pray for Matts' safe return. If miracles do happen, with all the love and support around our nation, Matt will come home safely.
KINDEST REGARDS, CAROL PAGE

As a veteran, old soldier and a past (26yr)member of the finest American Legion Post 72 in the nation I wish to express my hope and prayers that matt will return home to Clermont County Ohio. I Thank Him for his service and dedication to his country. It is an honor to call him a SOLDIER. I watch daily on the web for information as I no longer live in Clermont County Ohio. Peace be in your hearts to have raised an honorable and strong son for his family and country. God Bless Matt

i think i am speaking for most of the U.S. population, when i say that i have praying for you and your family. Matt's poster/picture hangs in the North Bend post office. i hope and pray that he does come home, safe. but i also pray that if that is no longer possible, that there can be positive, truthful answers for your family. i know that Matt has been in so many hearts, and all of his fellow soldiers, from every branch of the military will never give up on him. i wish your family all of the luck in the world. and i for one, appreciate the sacrifice that all of the men and women in the various branches of service, make in order to keep us all safe while we are sleeping. their families are sacrificing things too. they worry about, and miss their loved ones. and some get the worst news that a family can get. the soldiers and their families need to be thanked, and told that their sacrifices are appreciated by all of us.
God Bless the USA

Hi!
Just a note to let you know I have kept my light on in my front window from the very first day Matt went missing. I live behind Harold and Pat, a recently retired bus driver. We are friends. They are in Georgia. I hope you never give up the waiting for Matt. I am waiting to hear some good news, also, and will cheer the loudest when it comes! I will keep you all in my prayers.

I want to share with you that many many others care what you and your family have gone through. I recently went on a cruise and met a couple from New York. The man gave me a present because I was from Ohio. That present was an MIA bracelet with Matt's name on it. This man is a veteran himself from Korea and Viet Nam and he truly cares about your son and spreads the message. I am so sorry I didn't know to buy a bracelet myself.

To the entire Maupin's Family: I can't quite imagine hoe painful this must be, to think and relive this everyday. I do believe deep in my heart Matt is still alive. I hope that he is. I honor our soldiers and thank everyone of them, because of them we are still alive. I wish the war would end, i wish they would return home but unfortunatly if they walked away who really knows what would happen. I'm very sorry this has happened, i wish there was something that i could do or say that would make everything better. your in my deepest prayers and thoughts. Jenny
Kindest Regards, Jennifer

elgato quite dreaming, suprise!!!!!!!!! Maupin is going to outlive you. From the first time I saw Maupin on TV I felt deep in my heart that boy would be coming home, alive. Even after other captives were executed, I still knew that somehow he was still alive. Just from his picture I was drawn to his sense of survival. He was going to do whatever was needed to to stay alive to see himself home. I'm not a psychic but his eyes told me enough to know that we should never give up on this boy. He is sneaky, conniving, ruthless and yes braver than you would ever think. Mom and Dad he is now a man. Dad is there something he broke of yours and hid that you still don't know what happened to it. I hope he's back by 2006 to tell you.
