Organizers of the Democratic National Convention confirmed the worst fears of Boston commuters on Thursday, releasing a security plan that includes closing several miles of Interstate 93 during the afternoon rush hour, along with dozens of entrance ramps to the busy highway. Is it worh the hassels?

If the "US Government" would mind their own damn business around the world and quit trying to rule the world by means of terrorism and mass murder, we would not have to worry about being attacked. We could live peaceful lives, but the District of Corruption wants to create mayhem and fear in the world. Imperialism at work! Only an idiot, including the prostitutes, would go anywhere near Boston, during this circus, and those mad police state morons. Those security forces have blood in their eyes.

NO!! It is not worth any of it. I wonder how many jobs will be lost due to people not getting to work on time not only in Boston but all of the suburbs that you will have no acess to with the roads closed. Kennedy the puppet master realy wants to put on "A Realy Big Show" as Ed Sullivan would have said. This is nothing but the RICH showing thier influence and disrupting the everyday life of Massachusetts.

Thanks For Reading,Harry

Absolutely NOT!!!! This convention is nothing but a joke. Kerry is the parties choice (for some stupid reason) and the people of Boston and surrounding areas will have to put up with total Political BS. I think they should have the convention over the internet as to be honest with you I have not heard of anyone who cares what they will say and do at the covention except get DRUNK and KISS BUTT. yours in a better government

I thought that politicians were bidding to be "public servants". Ted Kennedy called himself a "Public Servant". Oh really??? Do public servants now get the privileged rights to block traffic and have parking bans in Boston now? Did I fall asleep and go into a nightmare? I think not. The DNC traffice/security nightmare is only one example of the arrogant attitude placed upon the "public". Rest assured, we can expect more. Let the DNC attendees leave thier hotels at 2:00 AM for the convention, not Boston business people. We are being treated like the servants!!! Not them!!! Looks like the DNC gets easy access to and from the convention and activities with ease, at the expense of inconveniencing the "voters". No matter....this state voted Mike Dukakis into office....TWICE! And we paid for it....TWICE!!

Careful there 'pbeng'. You're attempting to cast logic into an issue where none has existed from the start.

That could be dangerous.

That could be precedent setting.

That could almost make sense.

genius

Hope your not thinking that if they do that the Boston Police Department or the Boston Fire Department is going to "save" us. The Seceret Service either......

They can't even keep crime to a minimum on a regular basis and we all know how "smart" our Boston criminals are...

The Secret Service is there to direct traffic and keep an eye on Saint Kerry and his chosen minion whomever that ends up being......

Stay out of town .... away from the airport... the Fleet center... The Tunnel ...the Bridge.... believe me whatever the personal cost to you, even if Nothing happens, it will be the best advice you get this Millenium.......

and Nader still has no convention, how does he expect to be effective if he can't put any hacks to work?
