Did you clearly understand the purpose of your advance payment check from the Internal Revenue Service?

Hmmmm, Alot of complaining going on about the tax cuts.I suppose those that are making the snide "republican" comments are democrats,no matter, I bet not one of those complaining now were complaining when they had those checks in hand. There were some people that did not recieve checks at all. Stop complaining and look at important things, such as those things threatening us such as attacks, war, you know, those small things that are apparently not as important to the complainers as "THEIR MONEY". forgot....money is more important then life, right???

Alias: What an idiot, typical liberal Democrat. If you could try and understand what the rebate check is, instead of blaming the Republicans. If you were going to receive $1000.00 back because you over paid on your taxes during the year, and you received the $600.00 check, you will now only receive $400.00 dollars back. You don't have to pay the money back. The whole idea was to give you the money sooner, so that you could help get the economy going It is typical, the first thing you liberals want to do, is start blaming the wrong people. Maybe you should ask the Democrats in Maryland, why they won't reduce the tax rate more, instead of wanting to take more and more and more of our money

The fact is that Republicans initiated the tax reductions and the early refund checks we received. To now be angry because you spent the benefits of a tax break you received is ridiculous. A thanks for nothing attitude only reflects on you. When the President asked for a continuation of the tax relief last night, all republicans stood in support while all democrats remained seated and silent. Since you're so angry about your tax break, I assume you'll return all future tax break dollars to the government?

No, I understood what it was. But, it was a tax cut, and you don't have to pay it back. You just got it early. This was brought up several times when the rebate checks were first brought up. I actually got a bigger tax refund, counting both the three hundred + my current refund, than I usually get. I LOVE that I didn't have to wait until now to make use of MY money! I'm no where near rich, and the rebate definitely helped. I'm happy!

I think this whole "rebate" thing is a joke! All it has done is caused confussion! It was our money we had coming in the first place, just got it a little sooner, and maybe would have spent it in a differnet way if we had known! So wow! Thanks for what!!!????

I was surprised to learn that the IRS would be asking for my money back. I didn't understand that it could lessen my refund on my 2001 income tax return. I think they could have made that clearer with a letter enclosed with the check. I think I would have used the money differently if I had known the circumstances.

I can't believe it! Those #%@$&* Republicans! Bush may look like a hero now, but when people find out about what he's done, his approval rating will take a dive...as it should. TYPICAL REPUBLICAN!
